They Call Her Lucy
They call that girl Lucy
The one with the golden brown hair
The girl who never has a care
They call that girl Lucy
The girl who won’t say a word
Who everyone thinks is so absurd
They call that girl Lucy
The one who always walks alone
The one who’s never near a friend
How can they call this girl Lucy?
If she is always alone
And always afraid that her life could never be perfect
They call this girl Lucy
Because she once had a friend
Someone who tried to save her life
By sacrificing theirs
I called this girl Lucy
By taking away the ashes
That lie beside her chair
By taking away the knife
Placed sharply in her fist
And hitting against her wrist
I called this girl Lucy
By showing her the future she would have
By showing, that it all will come do death
So I proved to her
That this would end up becoming
The death that she would have
By killing myself instead
