Quotes about holiday, page 10
Season's Unforgettable Reason
Many centuries past God sent his love,
To reunite us with His heaven above.
The flawless salvation, forever to last.
Mankind removes landmarks of past.
Christ, Love Incarnate, God’s Word.
Contemporary thinking, how absurd.
For years He’s coming it’s been said.
In the Messiah’s return, Faith’s dead.
Blinded by lies, Life turns a wreck.
Unbeknown by even the very elect.
Fully anti-Christ, even near treason.
Forgetting the reason for the season.
Not Jesus’ birthday, not a holy day.
Man wanting a Christ less holiday.
Where giving of love’s meant to be.
Greed is placed under a holiday tree.
World so full of anti Christ, Beware!
As false beliefs pop up every where.
Hearts love low, Full of hate and fear.
Could it be that end is drawing near?

Early one summer morning
Early one summer morning
I took a couple of student friends
along to Clifton beach.
The storm of the previous few days
had blown away
and the sky was light blue
and the sea a much darker hue.
I and my two friends
walked on the still deserted beach
and there was an old life buoy
on which we couldn’t decipher
the writing,
some half rotten timber
all evidence of that terrible storm
and one of them
picked up a new Rolex watch
with the gold shining

Life's Looking Glass
Rows of chimney pots do their still smoking dance
Then thru our windows early morning glance,
By chance ‘Is it raining? '
Sometimes a sunny day is gaining,
Thru life's looking glass
In the poorest lane
The garbage cans stand still,
No reflection from the old wooden fence in vain,
A black cat rattles a rusty tin can
The cobbled road portrays its oldness.
It's a holiday today so run up'n'over the holiday hill
The vacation window glints
Sunshine sparkles on wavy sea stints,
Tiny fingers slide and squeak
Thru the window little faces doth peak
Sand castles beckon without fail
Children's footprints for ever tread this barefoot trail.
Another day another glance thru the looking glass,
Another lesson learning in life's learning class
Now who on earth would learn any faster

Domestic Shades-24
A Holiday Special
They all came on a holiday spree
We all together went on a city round up
They were all enjoying talking
Then were all set for a homam-pooja
Children were all playing on the staircase
Up and down were all for sudden clashes
All cries rose as all the smoke rose
All tears shut up all the flickering eyes
All steadied then to vent to the power-cut
All of a sudden the inverter alarmed all
All the blunder was a young one's ennui-drive
All the curious that she'd turned on my pc

Holiday
Many memories of our childhood
linger in our minds forever,
dwelling there for us to remember.
How much we wish sometimes
to go back and maybe do things a little different.
There are many things I would change
if I had my chance again, but I can’t.
However, saying that I remember
a holiday I wish I could relive again and again.
I am not sure what summer it was,
but what I do remember was staying
with a surrogate unt and Uncle
who gave me the best time of my life.
We travelled around the Great Lakes
with all their wonders to see.
Camped out in tents under the moonlight,
and fished for our breakfast, lunch and dinner.
It was the most exciting time in my life.
It seemed longer now than it really was,
yet it was over fifty years ago.

Iraqi Freedom
They have brought Saddam to justice and handed freedom back
Or at least that is what you tell me to the people of Iraq
But i always thought that freedom included freedom to live free of fear
Whilst every day from Iraq of more deaths through violence we do hear.
If you think Iraq is such a great place to live in you should try living there
And with the basic freedoms that you now enjoy your notes you can compare
For you do not seem enlightened on matters of liberty
On your ideas of Iraq i for one could not agree.
And your ideas of freedom seem quite laughable to me
How can one even know of basic freedom if of fear one can't live free
You should spend your next holiday in Iraq with your wife and family
Otherwise your ideas of freedom i cannot take seriously.
When you talk of Iraqi freedom talk is cheap and words are easily said
The only news we hear from Iraq is of more Iraqi dead
As a holiday destination Iraq i would not recommend
Unless of course you are suicidal and you wish your life to end.

Holiday Streamers
The holiday
is a slow strip;
each piece
glittering;
falling away
to reveal
naked relationships
beneath
our
tantalizing
onion pealing tears
dropping here upon
the table-
turkey and ham laden
swirling holiday music all around.
I love the music;
the solemnity;
the realizations
that we are all here again;

Holiday For The Forgotten
Here, have some of my holiday,
Reveling in the blares of soliloquy
And watching the stars shift their bones
Waiting for the first signs of dawn
And laying awake in your bedroom
Until the sunspots would fritter away
Again, back into the Mobius Strip
Of impassable holidays.
Come take a seat in my banquet
A hollow table for eight people
With sutured lips and eyes,
A superfluity of feast and revelry
In a plethora of emptiness,
That would keep us bloated
All through the gaudy merriment
Of the dilettante eve.
Succor in the warmth of an empty hearth
And be accustomed to the comport

Norway
I packed up my bags,
My shoes, my clothes,
My toiletries.
Packed everything
I needed
For my holiday
To Norway.
My mind was set
So was my mood
To have a great time.
But when I boarded
The plane, something
Wasn’t right, as if
Something was missing.
I had taken all caution
And a lot of care to see
That nothing goes wrong
