Quotes about monsoon, page 10
Sonnet: the Drumstick Tree
The drumstick-tree I thought was dead and gone
Is fully clothed by green leaves and flowers;
The bees are active and some fruits are born;
The tree awaits August’s Monsoon showers.
I see the tree growing so fast each morn;
My eyes perceive not the blossoming act;
How well does Nature heal its parts much torn;
Human beings are blind with eyes- the fact.
So, numerous small birds visit the tree,
To eat the flowers that gets dropped nearby;
The tree makes the backyard look so lovely;
Some Millipedes remain and will not die!
The tree looks resurrected, simply great!
God gave a new lease and a newer date.

Indian monsoon
Dancing: frogs, peacocks and farmers;
Singing: birds, women and the lovers;
Set to welcome: farms, ponds, rivers;
Prepared: boatmen, municipality, villagers.
Hearts glow: as the music of rain dropp pierce
falling at leaves, roof tops; into the ears
Alert are: government and river side dwellers
Ready with umbrella, raincoat; the hawkers.
Blessed are farmers, expecting better crops.
Blissful the children, of rainy day leisure hope.
Stressed are poor, whose huts, houses are of mud.
Depressed are flood affected people and old.
All around greenery and watery,
for the nation, a boon
The Indian monsoon

Memories of a River
Each river has a bunch of stories to tell
The story of dreams failed
Of lost love
Of the burning truth and the hot smell
Of life real
The river even knew the pain
Of thoughts going parallel
With their hands never yielding to a touch
The injured lives
The deceit killed a heart
And the river knew it before
Lust reigned in one
And the river could see it in the eyes
And waited for the injured soul
Each day the river waited for the silent cries from afar
The sighs of the world thronged on its shore
And the delight of the paper boats,

Underneath The China Blossom Tree
i wait
a mindless fog
i hear tears hit the water
a tear of an angel
i sit under the china blossom tree
waiting
the rosy pink petals hit my skin like love at first sight
it's gentle and smooth
but it could knock you down
if you really cared
i wait
i don't know what to expect
i only see fog
rain, so many broken herts
enough hatred cn become monsoon
i run
away from my feelings, love, sadness, nd confusion
but a light shines
pulling me from the fog of sadness
my hert beats in rythm with my footsteps

Loner
These were
the same lone days
Followed by
the same lonely nights.
These were
The same lazy dawns
Followed by
The same dark dusks.
I was always
The ever wandering loner.
The brazen wind,
Who could never
Find a lover.
The rest less soul
Which could never
Find a shelter.
Till,
you came along.

Rain (II)
It thundered as if it would rain;
Appeared sultry as if to feign;
The Sky was clear but blue-black now;
It looked as if the Rain would come!
The clouds were dense and moved slowly;
Lightning patterned the Sky fiercely;
The Wind was almost absent now;
It looked as if the Rain would come!
The Birds were quiet and nested;
Awaiting the downpour, they rested;
The Monsoon was active for now;
It looked as if the Rain would come!
A few droplets of Rain did fall;
Atop the heads of people on stroll;
Afraid, each hurried to his home;
It looked as if the Rain would come!

Monsoon Magic
Monsoon is a blessing in disguise.
It’s hard to describe emotions it brings to life.
I find rainfall at night
Stirs feelings of romance, love and ecstasy.
You snuggle and hold each other tight,
As the rain pours with all its might.
Cosy in the crook of his arm
I feel nice and warm.
When I wake, the storm is spent,
I feel a wave of contentment,
As I find him lying next to me
On the crumpled sheets.
I look at his face,
My heart is filled with tenderness.
Oh, I love these showers,
Specially in the midnight hours.

Love Sonnet 158 Your Breathe Has Spoke To Me As Though Of Breeze
Your breathe has spoke to me as though of breeze,
That's blown from fields of blooming daffodils,
As puffs of babes that rivaled wisps from seas,
Or yawns scented by milk a mother fills;
Your eyes behold with light as though of flame,
That I won't dare to dim, with slightest slip,
For once, the monsoon they had put to shame,
By tears, that for many a day would drip;
Your gentle arms wrapped me in snuggled bliss,
As live caryatid, you have borne my hopes,
Not much the world denies, would I now miss,
For there's nothing that nary my heart copes;
……..Except, the nothingness of your absence,
……..Which causes nothingness to my presence.

Paper Rain
From miles above
poured the paper rain
Flooding the streets
whiteing out the clear September day
peoples thoughts floated from the hell fire
like paper rain
First like a mist
then like a monsoon
the paper rain spread across the city
engulfing the running masses below
in a hurricane of paper rain
When the storm stopped
and the clouds of fire ceased
millons of unread words litter the streets
like a sea
of paper rain

Pollution go away
water, water, water come dried my tears and
wasted my pail, what makes you crystal clear
is the one makes me fear
fresh as the cold air, monsoon wind makes it
feel, turning back, as you made it wiggle still,
air comes and goes as you always will
havoc in the soil as you always till, make the
surrounding nice and beautiful to see in the
paradise where you are there
now as you come in my living soul, where
you always look in a distance poop, all the
way you stand as a tree, in the trunk I see
there you are free
leave me not, for I have a dream in the day
that you stay at me, even it’s almost in the middle
of the night, my friendly way has to say, a very
