The River of Desire
On the banks of the River of Desire
The abodes of our Gods are empty
The Gods deserted our village long ago
Leaving behind all the sanctums
Their broken walls yielded fine bricks
For the masonry of our village homes.
The River meandered around our village
Threatening to swallow our temples
Our children have hunger in their eyes
We have no oil to light God’s lamps
The River now threatens to swallow
Our parched paddy fields and our homes.

A Visit To My Village(Chaucerian Roundel)
Till my last ken it was green, green alone
Looked just for God's tread carpeted sacred
Or an attire godly live emerald
Much a velvet thought even now I'm prone
To feel the heaven for me descended
Till my last ken it was green, green alone
Such be, changing are not people alone
Even the paddy fields to houses changed
Last trip here to say there were all paved
'Till my last ken it was green, green alone'

Rice Fields
Diminutive rice paddy's cry
Villages copulate with war
Shedding all but the soul
We tremble like dying leaves
Sacred soil of our ancestors
Sacred sky of all the gentle
Thatch huts burn in the night
Flags fly like charred flesh
Now the wind has new visitors
Ghost that walk main street
Ghost of children’s dreams
No silhouettes in candlelight
Where is the moon for her daughter?
Eyes of endless rain
Tides driven by guns and fire
She stares at the rice fields

This Poem is Just a Joke
An Irish duck shooter set off with three friends
All with their dogs and flasks of tea
At the end of the day
The Irishman was a learner and did not bag a single duck
Which he thought was very very bad luck.
The next week when he met his three friends
For another duck shoot
He had a huge catapult in his car boot
“What is the catapult for Paddy? ”
“Oh I know why I didn’t get any ducks last week,
I wasn’t throwing the dog high enough! ”

Me
everyday i live with pain
no sun for me just rain
lost all i had and pushed u away
i wanted to tell what happend that day
but didn't had the strenght to
say how much i needed you
was afraid of what you would say
feared you would leave and turn away
now were even further apart
and i got a hole in my heart
why was i so stupid i scream
why did i destroyed our fragile dream
only darkness till the end of my day
because i destroy all love that comes my way

Good Guy's Don't Finish
why owh why am i a good guy
i'm not an ass no matter how i try
im done and don't get the reason why
girls always say i want a good guy
u treat her with love and repect
it will not have the wished effect
the good guy sucks i like the bad guy better
the ass leaves her standing in stormy weather
now tell me what must a good guy do
cuz i will never be good enough to girls like you
might as well beat my head against the wall
cuz a good guy aint meant to finish at all

Untitled
the sun turned into rain
my heart feels only pain
i said no problem it's alright
i lied u were my star shining bright
after all u said and done
i hoped u would be my number one
i told you how much i care
but you acted like i was air
u changed the subject fast
is ur love for me in the past
u called my love for u a thing
now my heart does no longer sing
wondering why did i even ask
my happy face is now a mask
i promissed i would never lie
so to be honest i want to die

When Sun peeps through the tattered sky I saw dew on the grass!
Our daughter in Australia sent us a digital camera.
Thank you very much!
I ran to the faraway burial grounds in my dreams
To take a photograph of my poor Mom & Dad!
Then the Cemetery Keeper who's smell of Liquor
Stopped me and said; ' Leave them alone as they're fast asleep.'
Still it's a dilemma the skinny drunkard whether he's dead or alive?
*I dedicate this poem to my shadowy friend Paddy Martin who's fast asleep!
Please have a rest as the War still goes on here and there?

The Divorce Case
She complains;
' My Honour, I swear upon God!
On our honeymoon night
I aked him to write something honestly
On my autograph,
This is what he wrote?
' Remember the bygone hurdles jumped over at midnight
In Nurse's Quarters, while the watcher did security rounds
On his ramshackle Motor-Bike,
And I never forget that annoying noise of the old Matron's
Rickety spring bed.'
* Humbly to the unknown Cemetery Keeper in NSW where my friend Paddy rests,
could you please keep this on his tomb for his kind perusal!
