The Deal
what do you do
when the devil says
it's time to pay ur due
u offered me ur soul
ehhm really i dunno
can't remember that at all
fine then i will make u see
his hand toched my face
now remember it with me
it was a dark and stormy day
i asked for love and in change
he could take my soul away
stop no more i don't want to see
i remember what i said to you
fine but ur soul u coming with me

Forever even in death
driving myself insane
put a gun against my brain
blowing out my final breath
is that it she said
while running from ur fears
u leave me behind in tears
u have so much to share
but i just don't care
while i turned away
she started to pray
dear deity make him see
only he completes me
i closed my eyes
and saw the dark skies
she heard the sound of the gun
her nightmare had just begon

Liar
i'm done with taking crap from you
nothing from what u said was true
all u did to me was lie now your sad and cry
i don't trust you anymore and you wonder why
it was all because of your little lie
for a month u left me to wonder why
what i did or didn't do i thought the dream could be true
instead i suffered because i didn't hear from you
u said sorry didn't want to hurt your feeling
but keeping me on a string was that your true meaning
you already had another guy but still you lied
now theres nothing left my heart died

Magical Monsoons
Streets are akin to rivulets
for children with paper boats
Paddy farmers in a bit of frenzy
in their improvised raincoats
Drop of the mercury rouses
the indolent stimulus to come to the fore
To paint a picture perfect afresh
and with new hues & tints explore
The flora in wild proportions
propagating as far one can gaze
A panoramic vista so utterly unique
that never ceases to amaze
Twilight a tad gloomy
needs uplifting of depressing mood

The Reverend Paisley
The Reverend Paisley
The reverend Paisley is on the way out
Up to heaven and not to hell
Long chats with dead popes no doubt
The pope's will chat; but he will yell
The pope's will work on him: a religious turn
Then he will change his name from Paisley
Home's in Northern Ireland will burn
When he becomes the reverend Papistley
Perhaps before he goes, he will see the light
Become Northern Ireland's brand new daddy
To London's parliament, he will take our fight
Yelling; give Ireland back to paddy

The soul also must be fed
When others smoke happily in street corners
He too smiles poor fellow!
When passing the dim Pubs
He's very aggressive.
In a narrow path of a starry night
When baby dolls dance
He too dance with a yawn.
He explained to himself
The strange guy;
'Please wait and don't be hurry,
This tricky lottery of life
Does a miracle soon
And I fulfill all your innocent dreams.
I'll buy an expensive grey color metalic painted Hearse
And we do a full-blooded round trip Chum!
*Humbly I dedicate this scribbling to my poet friend Paddy. Martin

Love Kills
I came here for you.
I've watched you for days.
You're everything a man could ever want.
It's not just your face, your figure or your voice.
It's all the things I see in your eyes.
I see a crazy calm.
You're ready to face what you have to face.
But you don't want to face it alone.
She's soft and warm and almost weightless.
Her perfume a sweet promise
that brings tears to my eyes.
I tell her that I'll save her from whatever
she's scared of and take her far, far away.
I tell her I love her.
The silencer makes a whisper of the gunshot.

Witches Trap
the one that used to keep me sane
is the one who destroyed my fragile brain
thoughs that twirl in my head are strange
for people around me they sound derange
is this how it's suppose to be
that people are afraid of me
whenever i get close or near
there eyes show nothing but fear
but not her she doesn't fear me
close to me is where she wants to be
the one that is messing with my brain
and keep causing nothing but pain
again i picked her out of a ditch
damned am i cursed by this witch
no matter what i do or say
she won't let me go away

Love Thy Self
Is it selfish to hope my love will be as beautiful as the flame streaming and dancing off of the tip of a match, but weep when things go up in smoke?
Is it selfish to wrap my arms around my love's legs and beg her to take me with her, but, later, long to be back home?
Is it possible to love her as much as a new pair of socks in a rice paddy trench?
Is it possible to love her as much as the homeless love a park bench?
Is it possible to love her as much as my last cigarette when the bell tolls for thee?
Is it possible my love will love me?

Radio Memories
Vande Matharam invoking a day of spirit
Mother tunes her frequency to a devotional band
Saroj Narayanaswami somewhere radioed
I'm broadcasted by her voice to school alerted
Mayilvahanan with birthday wishes bids me bye
Mid-day melodies refine mom to a good cuisine
Fine-tuned are gloaming lessons by 'Vanoli' notation
Farmers converse with grand-pa on paddy-fields
Quite vivid an old Bharati recollecting elixir to slake heavenly
Ere retirement'brush with Binaca'commands Amin Sayani
Saigal sings 'soja Rajakumari' to mom sky-high
Lo, mom has slept all for good
