Quotes about searing, page 10
A Mother's Protection
The zebra foal's Mother was wise,
She kept the foal at bay,
So that no other zebra tries
To coax her foal away...
And so they bond the first few days,
Beneath the searing sun
And thus the foal with Mother stays...
Its life has just begun.
Together now and side-by-side,
The two unite with love,
A sight that fills the Lord with pride
As He looks from above...
For love is all that has true worth,
To stand the test of time...
Ask anyone upon this Earth,
They'll tell you it's sublime...
The foal is destined to survive,
If given proper care

Visions pt2-Torment (Visions Inferno)
I opened my eyes only to see
Destruction and horror in front of me
The searing hot wind forced me to squint
What waited ahead, I dare not think
Dark clouds up high were victims of death
The air smelled of nothing but rotting flesh
I must take this path to make my way home
Wading through blood and stepping on bones
I heard the screams and wails of dead
Bodies moved about without need of a head
A hand tore at my arms, then at my face
I looked in some glass, they were all ablaze
The burning was nothing I could describe
In one, two, or forty lifetimes
Terror and fear is all that was furnished
But I must press on out of this furnace
I felt hatred and anguish surround me
And greed and lust trying to bound me

Matlapanen
Makoros glide swift
On the Thamalakane,
The fishing boys
Cast lines again,
Where the bream lie deep
In the peat brown pool,
By the old bridge
At Matlapanen.
Under gum poles span
Smooth water slides free,
And strong circling eddies snatch
The gnarled trunk
Of a long dead tree,
Past stooped women
Gathering thatch.
The river mist coils
In the searing dawn,
Writhing, ethereal fingers

Battleground
Ah
Finally the curtains are here
Dark dusty coffee shade
To blot out the searing summer sun
To blend with the moss green
Abstract walls
In a room
Where our bed stands
A centre piece
A stage
For the battles we fight
You always win
And I the meek
Retreat into the dusk and the dawn
Where shadows hide the bruises
Till the silence heals the battle scars
And I come out with renewed vengeance
To fight again
Fr what I think is mine
A trophy I thought I deserved

Bridges (For Charlie)
I stood like a searing sun
With jaws clenched
Fighting the trepidation
As I watch you loom
On the other end
Of a bridge
Bleared behind the mist
But it's now all
A tacit memory
In the bloom.
For now, we
Let ourselves be cradled
By the svelte arms
Of the bridge we built
Making the smog
From our cigs
And the dense blur
Of the abject slurs
Which was pristine

Unity Of Purpose
I am free to dream
my empowering dreams
no prison bars can ever
constrain contain me.
I dreamed my dreams
with an innate art
animating an amazing
insight possessed within.
I am often astounded
with a wonderful feeling
wonderment joy a searing
love captivates my soul.
Once I only lived my empowering
dreams as entombed life lived on
the inside while I toiled tending
old inanimate printing machines.

This pride of mine
Is it my absurd pride,
Which countenanced you to take off and run?
Is it my rainbow pride,
Which made you flee to the searing sun?
I beg of you
Stop! Think twice
A little pride is better than nice.
That is a saying plausibly far from wise!
If your love could fall once more out of the sky
This pride of mine I throw out amply to the sea
I tell no lie and I speak no lies
This pride of mine, I’ll give to another for free
For years and years
I have chewed over on my pride
Crying out inside beclouded tears
Our love went down with a dingy backslide

My Freedom
Midnight is arriving,
Sun is fading away,
Cloud by day,
Fire by night,
My emotions, gone,
My urge burning,
Burning ready for your presence.
I was once blinded from what
you were revealing to me.
Ignoring you of what you are
giving upon me.
But you gave me mercy.
I repented, gave you my life.
You took hold, made something out of it.
Gave me a reason, told me I have
a reason to live for.
You gave me my freedom!
My freedom...

Autumn Leaves
I still hearken a little deep
from the rolled out time
the last song of cuckoo
humming through the hot winds.
The scents of last spring-flower
still drift through
my dried up nasal lanes.
Today walking silently
over the crackling autumn leaves
I rue for the withered
bed of roses that once paved my way
towards a breathing heaven of verve.
The parched earth and naked trees
stand before me
like fossils
of the deceased last spring.

Saudade Banquet
A plethora of unconscious states dwindle
And sifts through the intricately entangled
Living, whilst recounting the direst in every breath
Fumbling downhill the insurmountable breadth
Of superfluous strides towards a slumbering aubade
Without a paramour, a beau without the valor
To brawl and bicker with the profane matrimony
To the innuendos of the picador's grand party—
The clout of spears girdled to every slip of malady
Augmented for every bat of the lash, regardless of
Vying, struggling, living on the surface or not,
We all are rather desiccating beneath our colors
Dead as cold fountains trying to spew glacial films
Of flimsy incorporeal yearnings, searing aloft
Reaching the singeing grazes of the Quasar King
Building a vertex to oust the quintessence,
To kiss the ring and slob the strangling,
Dispensing the stashed castles into the quicksand
And fulminating the feral feint cloyed inside
The orbs and corpuscles pumping not too subtly
