Journey Of My Soul
My soul has left my tired earthly shell
Guided by a holy hierophant.
We hover, moving, seemingly propelled
into a brilliant limbo Labyrinth:
A vaguely familiar and friendly place
An imperceptible spiritual sphere
entirely devoid of time and space.
My guide has often escorted me here
to this final after death tribunal.
She will as always present my defense
before the other hierophant panel
To determine previous moral sense
And worthy of another incarnate
journey’s quest to seek another soul mate.

The Night Road
The streetlight buzzes
Lit in an amber haze
Rain falls against windows
Trickles down the glass
Counting the minutes
The night roads are empty
Sleeping a travels rest
While the days trails
Become washed away
The overgrown gardens
Narrow the path
Shadows dart everywhere
Limited shade on offer
A while ago someone passed
Head bowed, scurrying
Trying to shelter from the rain
The line of amber beacons
Little amber torches hover
Into the dark of night
Buzzing little stars guide

The Gardener LXXXIV: Over the Green
Over the green and yellow rice-fields
sweep the shadows of the autumn
clouds followed by the swift-chasing
sun.
The bees forget to sip their honey;
drunken with light they foolishly hover
and hum.
The ducks in the islands of the river
clamour in joy for mere nothing.
Let none go back home, brothers,
this morning, let none go to work.
Let us take the blue sky by storm
and plunder space as we run.
Laughter floats in the air like foam
on the flood.
Brothers, let us squander our
morning in futile songs.

Flights Of Impossibility
bumble bees fly upon wings impossible
black yellow fuzzy bodies heavy rise up
helicopters rise up hover off in buzz flight
bumble bees body mind looms large shiny
heavy thought cannot confined be earth bound
wings of hope lift weight impossible to soar
scientists proclaimed your flights impossible
faith was no word transformative to bare load

In A Ball of Kissing Dreams
Stillness in the river
In the unanswered season—pledges of
Allegiance to a classroom in
The summer—
And other ghosts—like the graveyards of
Kindergarten—
The television still turns on when you
Are not around—
Hummingbirds hover in the ether,
Propelled by the wishes of
Abraham Lincolns—
You are up in Ocala with the orange trees,
The horses,
And your husband—or you race above
The earth,
A comet who struck matches across my
Bedroom like rattlesnakes entwined
In a ball of kissing dreams.

Now the day is over.
Now the day is over.
Night is drawing nigh
Shadows of the evening
Creep across the sky.
Tribute to
Sabine Baring Gold 1865
Now the day is over.
The blue twilight falls.
I see shadows hover
Hiding garden walls.
Night is drawing nigh.
The bustle of the day.
Fades as the minutes fly.
I find time to pray.
Shadows of the evening.

Joy jumps heart to heart
Joy jumps heart to heart
From heart to heart
like a grasshopper.
But all I need do is but hover
over zenith green-tips of dew.
All I need do' is but dance
above His skies grey purlieu
to feel His rainbows lance
and not feel blue.
All I need do' is but touch wings
with His mirror-ball awnings
His unworldly, light!
'Then learn heaven is truly Bright.
All I need learn is to be still…
Like a grasshopper
He can but net at will…
Clasp in His palms prayer…

Sweets by Air
I can make a personal delivery
How, you ask?
Well, you could meet
I will spread my wings and fly halfway
Just to meet with you
You can do the same
Yes, you are an angel
So spread your wings
We will meet on the highest mountain peaks
Before handing over the sweets
We have to soar, the skies together
Be realistic?
All we think of, is a possibility
Just close your eyes
And see us, soar the skies together
Two friends together
Holding hands as we hover
In clear blue skies
Miles apart
Yet living in each other's hearts

After The Long, Busy Day
so many words
others so unkind
freed from
the prisons of the
mind,
hurting,
cruelty in rampage
thorns and spikes
biting the
soles of the feet
even of
strangers
the words of love
are still kept
preserved in the
recesses of
the heart

No One Is There (revised)
i go home
and i open the door of this house
there is silence that greets the face of emptiness
the grass is but a green canvass
sprinkled with dead leaves
shades of brown and shattered sheen of lights
from the setting sun
a burst of orange, a slap of red,
gray colors hover,
black invades and triumphs
tonight, another round of applause
from lonely hands
my feet stamp the dusts
off my skin
the dog wags its tail
i close the door and shut the windows
i turn on the light
dimmer
i begin listening again to
the departing winds.
