Hummingbird
Hummingbird! keep on humming your wings,
With lavender feathered wings hover in wind.
Nectar of sweet petals sweeten your hymn,
Just in half syllables, is your chirping chime.
On a tree near brook, sitting in the serenity
You sigh for your mate, one who is celebrity.
You see his show of swoop before resonating
affirmation of acceptance for your mating.
Our contract is for this spring and not forever
I know little creature this is what you whisper.
In architected nest two pretty pearls are laid;
In three months, have to become hummingbird.
Mate of mankind, you are the love teacher.
Perhaps they gave idea of the helicopter.

The Master-Chord
LIKE a musician that with flying finger
Startles the voice of some new instrument,
And, though he know that in one string are blent
All its extremes of sound, yet still doth linger
Among the lighter threads, fearing to start
The deep soul of that one melodious wire,
Lest it, unanswering, dash his high desire,
And spoil the hopes of his expectant heart;
Thus, with my mistress oft conversing, I
Stir every lighter theme with careless voice,
Gathering sweet music and celestial joys
From the harmonious soul o’er which I fly;
Yet o’er the one deep master-chord I hover,
And dare not stoop, fearing to tell—I love her.

A.c.
To A.C.
Our lives brought love to this world
Yours brought love to me
Elysium…I know it well
It comes each anniversary
The crescent moon knows nothing
Of our nocturnal delight
Embracing arms and legs so soft
Such harmony in the night.
The stars can only imagine
The sighs and whispers in your ear
The clear blue heavens hover and bless
Your radiant heart so dear.
The champagne pours like a river
Into the solitude of space
Angels beam while seraphim sing

The Unappeasable Host
THE Danaan children laugh, in cradles of wrought gold,
And clap their hands together, and half close their eyes,
For they will ride the North when the ger-eagle flies,
With heavy whitening wings, and a heart fallen cold:
I kiss my wailing child and press it to my breast,
And hear the narrow graves calling my child and me.
Desolate winds that cry over the wandering sea;
Desolate winds that hover in the flaming West;
Desolate winds that beat the doors of Heaven, and beat
The doors of Hell and blow there many a whimpering ghost;
O heart the winds have shaken, the unappeasable host
Is comelier than candles at Mother Mary's feet.

Amber
Hover
the imagined center, our tongues
grew long to please it, licking
the walls, a chamber built of scent,
a moment followed by a lesser moment
& a hunger to return. It couldn't last. Resin
flowed glacially from wounds in the bark
pinned us in our entering
as the orchids opened wider. First,
liquid, so we swam until we couldn't.
Then it felt like sleep, the taste of nectar
still inside us. Sometimes a flower
became submerged with us. A million years
went by. A hundred. Swarm of hoverflies,

In Vita Minerva
VEX not the Muse with idle prayers,--
She will not hear thy call;
She steals upon thee unawares,
Or seeks thee not at all.
Soft as the moonbeams when they sought
Endymion's fragrant bower,
She parts the whispering leaves of thought
To show her full-blown flower.
For thee her wooing hour has passed,
The singing birds have flown,
And winter comes with icy blast
To chill thy buds unblown.
Yet, though the woods no longer thrill
As once their arches rung,
Sweet echoes hover round thee still
Of songs thy summer sung.

A Butterflys Life
A butterfly flutters
its wings of delight
in the soft gentel breeze
it flickers to life
its colours like rainbows
flash briefly for a day
in fields full of colours
they spread wings
and fly away
they hover in midflight
it finds its mate for life
and they become one
in the midsummer sun
then together they climb
dazzling, turning
Ecstasy of delight
climaxing on high
impregnating new life
then finding a leaf
to lay down their eggs

Let my heart always reminds me of you....
Let the morning bring freshness for me
Let the sun bring brightness for me
Let the gentle breeze bring softness for me
Let the nature brings beauty for me
But let my heart always reminds me of you
Let my day pass without problems
Let my work complete without errors
Let my thoughts scattered without pain
Let my wishes come true without barrier
But let my heart always reminds me of you
Let the sun disappear slowly in the sky
Let the moon appear slowly in the sky
Let the stars start twinkling in the sky
Let the night birds hover in the sky
But let my heart always reminds me of you

Great efforts
Great efforts
No rewards
No awards but set backs
No let up in preparation
Strong enthusiasm with indication
"Come what may" push hard with resolution
Port is sighted
All sailors are delighted
Birds hover over head
May be far away some open bodies of dead
Destiny not far away
Cautious move with all alerts on the way
Eyes on high seas to tackle the danger
Arms in hand with readiness of trigger
Black natives are seen similar to those niggers

The Lighter Side Of Things
it happens
when there are no attachments
when you sleep in a room
and you leave
early morning
you leave a trace of the scent
of your body
and you pack all your things again
you walk fast
to another destination
you think of other things
those that do not sink you
nothing metallic
at all
just the soft cotton side of life
a feather
thin air on the mountain top
distant little towns below
and the wide sea at the horizon
clouds hover
