Poem 18, Words
~
Words can tell what hearts divine
This most romantic time of year:
So will you be my valentine?
I'll be yours if you'll be mine
Till golden moon meets midnight drear.
For words can tell what hearts divine
When air's perfume and water's wine,
And cupids hover at one's ear:
So will you be my valentine?
And do we feelings dare define
In phrases adamant and clear?
For words can tell what hearts divine,
And souls can step across a line
On days when angels wait to cheer:

Autumn
In her arms unconscious lying,
Cytherea's love is dying.
On the hill and in the valley,
Through the grove and sun-lit alley,
Drooping flower and fading leaf
Share her grief.
But in realms of gloom and night
Proserpina wreathes her hair,
And a gleam of tender light
Seems to pierce the darkness there:
"Ah!" she sighs, "I long have waited
With the calm of hopeless pain,
But to me, the sorrow-fated,
Comes the lost one back again!
Lovely things that seem to die
Hither now will quickly hie,
And to-morrow, in the gloom
Of this sad and sunless tomb,
Butterflies will lightly hover,
As o'er meadows fair;" she saith,

R.I.P. Aunt Tammy
Dear Aunt Tammy I know your in a better place now but it is still hard.
The last time I have seen you was at your grave and i can't get over it.
I need you, i need you by my side. I dream about you every night and I
dream about the past when you would hold me i would stop crying when
I was a baby but still i stopped. And with you gone its like the end of the
world. You were the third one of the pattern and what i mean by that is
the first person that died was three years ago and that was uncle pat.
Then it was great grandma hover a year later. Then you a year after her.
My live without you is a living nightmare now and i know you won't be
able to read this but im still writing it.

Hare Drummer
Do the boys and girls still go to Siever's
For cider, after school, in late September?
Or gather hazel nuts among the thickets
On Aaron Hatfield's farm when the frosts begin?
For many times with the laughing girls and boys
Played I along the road and over the hills
When the sun was low and the air was cool,
Stopping to club the walnut tree
Standing leafless against a flaming west.
Now, the smell of the autumn smoke,
And the dropping acorns,
And the echoes about the vales
Bring dreams of life. They hover over me.
They question me:
Where are those laughing comrades?
How many are with me, how many
In the old orchards along the way to Siever's,
And in the woods that overlook
The quiet water?

Entertaining Torture
Such entertaining faerytales
Such enthralling fantasies
I humor myself with stories of you and me
I humor myself with the make believe
I know how you feel
Do you know about me?
I doubt it.
Such entertaining daydreams.
Such enthralling hopes.
I don’t fall.
I simply hover in the air.
Waiting for the signal to let go
Waiting for someone to be there
Laughing with you is fun
Talking with you is fun

Breathless Moments
could love fathom
all little insignificances
that litter my day
like the lilies on a pond
breathing, continually breathing for dear life
each hungry for the kiss of the beast
or the dominion of a feast of birds
that hover in the sky for a destiny
as I pluck a flower in midstream
waiting for you my love to come
promising to love you till the end
in my breathless moments, echoing my pleas
to be with you, at the crossroad of my dreams
when love comes softly to my waiting arms
waiting for the sunset..waiting for the sunset
don't let go of me, my heart, our dreams
your every heartbeat, is a song in my heart

Patience, Patience
the child with a black coat
on this cold day
sits there beside a brick
church of spanish
architecture
the yard is quiet except
for the sound of the flapping
of doves feedind on some
rice grains
the boy has a black hair
and his feet are stained with
mud his fingers dirty with
some sticky sauce
he spreads the rice grains
from his palm to the
muddy grounds

The Black Bird...
it was her black bird
first that saw and i never stopped thinking since then
figuring what is the meaning of having
those black wings
flying
and to where is this direction heading?
from my mouth is borne the
blackbird bearing my own name
at the tip of its
beak
and it is flying now too low to touch
the needles of the pines
do you not see that it is tired
and wants to hover on one of those twigs?
how can you relate to blackbirds?
they grown from our throats and comes out
from our lips

Dangling From The Truth...
legends tells no lies
but love is
just twisted deep inside
crumple all together
with the schemes and the lies
where the truth comes out
spills overloaded with filth
tryin to cover it up
theres no uses
given all the wrong pieces
told way too many lies
i cant define
whats truly inside
given up
lost with no dreams
useless soul
dangling from the truth
what does it hold inside
nothing
i cant find

If I Close Would You Open
let the Poseidon
of Greek god’s hover
my day and open my lips to
whisper the sweet embrace of your
smell
let me do
the herculean task to
make the gate of your bosom heart and listen
to my
pleading of stay, rapture the
anger that made you pave with me; since you
come to my life,
find me the way and close my knee to
vow all the luck that bends my open heart
to pray
let me do this again without
the peculiar feeling that take me in the shadow of
weird intense feeling to lie
