Computer and Man
I am great
All men I educate
I am capable
I am Irresistible,
I have a lot of memory
I answer every query
I have loads of power
Around me mankind hover
I solve problems arithmetical
I carry out operations logical
I am very intelligent
From men I'm different
I am a titan
I am super human
Can you guess
Who I am?
Yes! I am the COMPUTER.
The computer, itself thus prides
And on a high horse it rides.

Death Drops
Reports on reports by dailies;
Sympathies on sympathies;
Still cripples on cripples
And corpses on corpses.
On plantations, diabolic showers of Endosulfan.
Innocent raptures, its colour changed,
With the poison mixed.
Brains drained; heads swelled;
And like exclamation marks, tongues did
Jut out of the mouths.
Dribble drops of pesticide:
Legs and arms coiled,
And eyes, its wires melted.
Plantation village looked
Like a collided car.
Vultures in the sky hover;
Coffin makers get richest than ever;

To The Hummingbird
I cannot heal thy green gold breast,
Where deep those cruel teeth have prest,
Nor bid thee raise thy ruffled crest,
And seek thy mate,
Who sits alone within thy nest,
Nor sees thy fate.
No more with him in summer hours
Thou'lt hum amid the leafy bowers,
Nor hover round the dewy flowers,
To feed thy young;
Nor seek, when evening darkly lowers,
Thy nest high hung.
No more thou'lt know a mother's care
Thy honied spoils at eve to share,
Nor teach thy tender brood to dare
With upward spring,
Their path through fields of sunny air,
On new fledged wing.

The House
there is no other place to go
after work
when the darkness of the night
starts to hover
on my roof
this house where i rest my feet
where i put my hands
where i shut my mouth
and you are there
moving from one corner to another
asking where i put some bones
of my body
you sing as you once knew the songs
the ones that i love
that which from where my heart rests
and lulled
this is the house, a mere house
where i put my body
safely

Bird Watcher
In Wall Street once a potent power,
And now a multi-millionaire
Alone within a shady bower
In clothes his valet would not wear,
He watches bird wings bright the air.
The man who mighty mergers planned,
And oil and coal kinglike controlled,
With field-glasses in failing hand
Spies downy nestlings five days old,
With joy he could not buy for gold.
Aye, even childlike is his glee;
But how he crisps with hate and dread
And shakes a clawlike fist to see
A kestrel hover overhead:
Though he would never shoot it dead.
Although his cook afar doth forage
For food to woo his appetite,

Creativity/ Like My Father On His Deathbed
Poetry is not about words.
Poetry flows
from experiences that hover beyond words,
a shining memory sounding muffled
hidden behind a familiar door.
The words of a poem
are the funeral of my old father,
magnificent, feisty and watchful,
available to the last
through indefinable gestures
and a shining silence
existent somewhere else now
as poetry is, the real poem,
not the heavy coffin of the print.
Poetry pines for it’s lost world,
its hidden home,
like a swan still singing on a plate.

Morning along Shore
Hark, oh hark the elfin laughter
All the little waves along,
As if echoes speeding after
Mocked a merry merman's song!
All the gulls are out, delighting
In a wild, uncharted quest
See the first red sunshine smiting
Silver sheen of wing and breast!
Ho, the sunrise rainbow-hearted
Steals athwart the misty brine,
And the sky where clouds have parted
Is a bowl of amber wine!
Sweet, its cradle-lilt partaking,
Dreams that hover o'er the sea,
But the lyric of its waking
Is a sweeter thing to me!

A Picture Of A Bound Man
one time
by chance i see a man bound
with ropes
all over his body
that even his toes and
fingers cannot move
i recall the feeling once
when i let time bound me
when i let time pass by me
and i have done nothing
to change
who i am
and what i am supposed to be
when my being
is simply left to the winds
and the seasons
to the blackness of the night
and to the bleakness of my days
when i just lay on the floor

Pictures From Bama
My friend Tom's from Alabama
State bird, Yellowhammer
Golden rod's their state flower
By the road side, it does tower
In full bloom this time of year
Growing out of waters clear
Waters where the fishing's fine
Horizon lined with long leaf pine
These the pictures he sends me
Bitter sweet ‘heart of Dixie'
The best is when his time is free
In the sun he likes to be
Drives his boat to nearest lake
Leaving dry land in its wake
Catching bass of winning size
Aware of black bears watchful eyes
He contemplates a time gone by
Mesmerised by dragon flies
Who hover there, metallic blue.
Then blurred wing dart them out of view.
