In Sleep
NOT drowsihood and dreams and mere idless,
Nor yet the blessedness of strength regained,
Alone are in what men call sleep. The past,
My unsuspected soul, my parents’ voice,
The generations of my forbears, yea,
The very will of God himself are there
And potent-working: so that many a doubt
Is wiped away at daylight, many a soil
Washed cleanlier, many a puzzle riddled plain.
Strong, silent forces push my puny self
Towards unguessed issues, and the waking man
Rises a Greatheart where a Slave lay down.

Another Trial
Liquidity crunch turns you
into lip slave.
The candlelight bed has the broken legs.
Asleep by the boat you sway in dark.
You are still a number in the books to be fed.
A jigsaw puzzle in the economic boom
starts a jihad. Here I am waiting for you
to start a crusade against the falling stars.
The encounter turns bloody. Shoot out for innocents.
Kids and women, criss-crossing the path of hate.
I was not ready for this disgrace of religion.
The king was making it free below poverty line.
Every wound will be addressed and healed.

How sorry am I
I want to say sorry anyway that I can
For using, abusing, for spoiling your plan
For misguiding, misjudging and upsetting you
But try and remember I'm upset too.
I've no longer got you, your no longer here
no more do you sit trying to calm my fears,
no more your guidance in my life, my career
all I have now is my self pity, my tears.
Alone I sit and wonder alone I ask myself why
Alone I sit and ponder, alone I sit and cry
Alone I lie and puzzle, alone I lie and sigh
Alone I pray, alone I say, GOD, please let me die.

Life Is Fog Bound
Life is a mystery, a fog shrouded puzzle
With images and characters
All fuzzy round the edges.
We are uncomfortable with mystery
It denies our certainties our black and whites.
Our logic fails to work, is inconsequential.
Our faith journey is only clear when looking back
The now and the future remain fog bound.
For those who seek a certain path
Crystal clear and straight and narrow
Will find their way encumbered, misted over
In the reality of our being pilgrims led by him
Who is the way, the light in a puzzling world

Pros and Cons
Some read, some rest, while others play,
some crosswords puzzle as the day
to night tracks onwards while life’s train
repeats, repeats, the same refrain.
Some through life’s window stare as they
dream on lost worlds in wayward way,
some forward bend to golden g[r]ain,
some backward tend in times of strain.
Some watch their neighbours watch them weigh
the pros and cons of yea or nay,
some thoughts would open, some restrain
emotions’ f[l]avour as profane.
There are so few who dare relay
fair message sharing interplay.

Undivided Attention
I 'use' to wonder as a child,
Why there were so many elderly people...
Packed inside the church,
My mother made sure...
She would take my sister and I,
Faithfully on Sunday and choir rehearsals...
As children.
When I turned 60,
I realized...
I could talk to myself,
And not get a batted eye of attention...
From anyone!
That piece of the puzzle,
No longer remains a mystery.
Now I know for a fact...
What those who are elderly know.
God is the only 'One'...
To have ever given undivided attention.

World Puzzle
The world is puzzled by us and our laughter,
This name I supply is with a speaking dispute;
My doctors are brilliant, as they profit from the bold,
Going to the audacity we speak, going away.
The path to electricity is to be a road to nowhere,
I supply the daughter of commerce, as she tries
To corrupt nobody, like a human body of worth.
The enemies of the acts of the nation are within
The borders too inclined to supply rage.
May this puzzle or quiz be a technological work,
Kind and best, the infinity of this world itself.

Missing puzzle piece
Missing puzzle piece
(of beauty)
I heard your whisper
when I were asleep,
and I smelled your sent
like you were laying right next to me. And truly, truly! ! ! I wanted something I....wanted something that would be impossible to get, that is to have you presently right beside me. The water that flowed from my eyes became the birthing place where I felt love grow on thee inside from a person that was called ugly, and made to feel like thee cast away like I was thee enemy, but you saw beauty in the mist of the one that others counted out.

The Reason Why
Asking the unanswerable 'why'
Is like seeking light in the dim,
Life and Death we can't deny
No reasons needed, so it seems.
That Fate does not come knocking,
Nor does Death have any manners
Is a daily truth we are all facing
For Life when lost is regained never.
When people walk like sitting ducks
Ready to be cut down for no cause
Then something of Why must be asked
And the Reason searched with no pause.
My simple question is the puzzle
Where came the bulk of ammunition?
The absence of the needed muzzle -
Are stricter laws on gun regulation!

How Do I Love You?
In mere words I can find no kind of way
to express the depth of my love for you,
the yearning of every passing day,
not even in the things that I say and do.
In the simple small daily kind of things
that fit into the mere puzzle of life,
intimate, sincere heartfelt tidings
outbalancing the every day strife
it is all unclear in the silent need,
that comes natural to you as my wife
it is from far beyond any act or deed
and its truth never pierces like a knife,
but is much like childhood faith, without pain
it is somewhat difficult to explain…
