Quotes about joker, page 2

Playfellow

He is not belongs to any of the cards composing a pack of four suits.
(Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs and Spades.)
Just a plaything and his name is Joker.
When used, it has special rights;
Thus, in Euchre it's the best trump.

* A joker lives in every politician.

Playing with cards

The Joker was wild,
uninhibited and out of control.
He hit the deck, out did the Queen of Hearts
and all her tribe
confusing her husband the King
and kicked the Ace into touch.

The King of Spades saw him coming,
rounded up the troops, the Jack and
all the men from 2 to 10,
leaving the Ace until last
in case of something.
The Joker just smiled,

hitched up with the Queen of Clubs,
went along for the ride
to find the Diamonds and then,
threw all the cards on the table,
leading the whole pack awry
until the last man was trumped.

Full Tilt

running down the road
laying it on the line;
cause mercy's just a prayer,
and justice is blind

give what you got
more than hope can allow
nothing more important
than right here and now

he's a joker, he's a clown,
he's a fighter, he's a man.
sell his soul to protect you,
got his heart in his hands

wide open, and looking for
a bullet to the head...
when you stand, dont back down
somebody gonna want you dead.

He fell from the mango tree nearby
In the nest where three others lay
After the rain, their chirping cry
I heard in the morning at break of day.

A few days old they must have been
Eyes still shut, and such tiny wings
Scarcely with feathers on their skin
But they had a strong will to go on living!

I took the nest and kept it inside
Quite safe in a handy fruit basket
From my cats, the birds I tried to hide
As they heard the noisy chirping racket.

Two of the chicks failed to survive
The rains made them wet in the night
But the other two I had kept alive
Named him 'Tweet' and his brother 'Knight'.

Queen of Hearts

Would it be so unfair
So unjust
To ask you to stay frozen
In your own fiery lust?

To stay suspended
To stay staring
To hang yourself on a broken hope
Without me caring

To be my novelty
My fleeting joy
To be nothing more than a past laugh
To expect nothing more than an abandoned toy

A still frame
I can look back on with a smile faint
But turn the page with fingers numb
And think of your affections as nothing more than quaint

The Slow Nature

(an Incident of Froom Valley)

"THY husband--poor, poor Heart!--is dead--
Dead, out by Moreford Rise;
A bull escaped the barton-shed,
Gored him, and there he lies!"

--"Ha, ha--go away! 'Tis a tale, methink,
Thou joker Kit!" laughed she.
"I've known thee many a year, Kit Twink,
And ever hast thou fooled me!"

--"But, Mistress Damon--I can swear
Thy goodman John is dead!
And soon th'lt hear their feet who bear
His body to his bed."

So unwontedly sad was the merry man's face--
That face which had long deceived--
That she gazed and gazed; and then could trace

Lieing Through Their Teeth

Giving up a smile or two,
Does not end a feud...
One begins.
Nor is a joker without a seriousness,
Worth a fist to lift.

Giving up a smile or two,
May work best for children...
Teasing each other after school.
But to think it's okay to lie just to do,
Seems so foolish to hear those who do it.

Some people can't seem to live a life,
Without a lieing through their teeth.
Some people.
Some people.
Some people do what they do,
To disturb another's peace.
Some people.
Some people.

A Normal Day At My Church

I woke up this morning
grey clouds covered the sky;
no rain clouds there,
no sunshine neither.
Just the beginning of a cloudy day.
It wasn’t cold nor hot,
but just comfortable.
Being Sunday, it was quiet too.
I had already written my sermon the night before
and a short prayer to accompany it.
We had our service in the fresh air
in the middle of the street.
The town Marshals guarding either end
so no one could get away.
They were allowed to let people in,
but to prevent others escaping.
A captive audience you could say.
It wasn’t a big crowd,
but just big enough.
As we sang I See The Light,

A life is circus

The life is like great circus ring
It consists of happy and tragedy wings
Every character has to play an important role
The circus as such is combination of whole

The joker occupies central position
He is tragedy king but nice composition
He makes every to laugh with his funny actions
All the time children come out with “once more” reactions

Everything moves on with systematic way
Whole area is illuminated with light to make it like day
Animals and trained staff move in orderly fashion
Special precise shows in air and ground not covered with cushion

This all is doe to please circus loves and people alike
Children love it most and what to talk about dangers shows on moving bike
It is limited show but all dangerous moves staged
Lions too roar at ring master even if hunted in cage

The Orange Island of Memories Fading

Before my eyes lay concealed the Orange Island of memories fading,
I feel as though I am but a shadow of the shade, wading throughout
The evergreen glades of youthful reminiscence. The Elixir alongside
The Stone rests upon my pillow, the history of science, the revelation
That the scrutiny of our age is but a child born of ancient curiosity.

Through a forest of symbols the child is bound upon his quest,
Resting only when he knows that the time is right to fall and accept
The calling of slumber beyond the thundering of his senses unfiltered.
Reaching out to touch the source divine, is he fated as Icarus?

Step into the moulting cage; know that the Age is upon us.
We are to fly as we are to spread our wings un-sighing.
Open the container that confronts you promising Mystery.

A Bird Wing awaits of a thousand shades each bluer than the deepest sky.
Unheard Sirens sing, lulling to a state of numbed anxiety those that
Allow their hearts to listen in upon such melodies sweet in seduction.
A Marijuana Leaf lay in wait for the transportation you seek,
Back to a time, back to a place when everything seemed so undefined
