My Seminary Life

When I went to seminary before,
My life has a meaning
A priest once told me,
' Your life here is God's calling.'

There I understood,
Being a priest was a vocation
A great sacrifice & service to God
Where no life to enjoy a vacation.

Indeed, I greatly admired
The hearts, souls and minds
Of those servants in God
As their own desires
have to be sacrificed.

For them to serve our Saviour Lord Jesus,
Life here on earth has its true values.

A creature is that humane flesh deuoures,
From out whose bowels fatnesse may be taken,
That being dried by fire, a certaine houres
Will waxe as hard, as crust of bread well baken,
Which fat dissolued, and with the leane confused
Of that bodie, from whom you must it take,

A Parable

I PICKED a rustic nosegay lately,
And bore it homewards, musing greatly;
When, heated by my hand, I found
The heads all drooping tow'rd the ground.
I plac'd them in a well-cool'd glass,
And what a wonder came to pass
The heads soon raised themselves once more.
The stalks were blooming as before,
And all were in as good a case
As when they left their native place.

A skew of a Skylark

I see my haughty star's profile and for your information
I am a runner-up; Run-of-the-mill in the mysterious blue sky.
My high-spirited heart-string strums a sad tune in highly-strung.
This hermit's hermetic heart is open for your kind perusal
And if if you just peep through your hideout that's greatly appreciated.
I search the unattended umpire to get his kind permission to unbolt your secret door.

Lefties

In the very beginning
when God made woman and man,
He realized some were smarter
and devised a glorious plan.

He gathered the intelligent,
and to tell them from the rest,
made them all left handed
to identify His best.

So when you see a lefty,
please give your due respect,
and try not to be offended
by their greater intellect.

Don't fret if you're right-handed,
even though there is no cure,
God still loves you greatly…
He just loves lefties more.
