Citizen of the World

No longer of Him be it said

The queen of diamonds

Her beauty broke my heart
Her smile caught my dreams
And in her silent absence
I felt all hope slip away
I would never feel her kiss
Or hold her in my arms
To know her so closely
No it was never to be
She was not to blame
That I fell so wildly in love
I hold a romantics heart
And accept its consequence
She a girl so brightly beautiful
A queen of diamonds
And I a poor poet reciting

In dreams...
eyes Willing
to look upon
the green tattoo
The sun on thy head.

In the present stages of spiritual experience, the believer's interior comfort, and his exterior lustre, greatly depend on the position of his heart toward the uncreated sun of righteousness. How obscure and benighted are our views, and how languid our exercise of grace, when an unbelieving, a worldly, or a careless spirit, interrupts our walk with God! But, if the out-goings of our souls are to him, and if the in-pourings of his blessed influence be felt, we glow, we kindle, we burn, we shine.

Roadways

Roads are making sense to the citizenry,
Can they travel long distances?
Can thoughts enter a ghastly mind
Which melts under the sun, in the brain?
Roads will enthuse the community at large
And affect their moods and climate of opinion.
Shall we certainly reject the injured?
They, the leprosy, are against roads.
But we are the fit to celebrate the country
By going to it, by managing safety on the roads.
Each road is greatly admired and minds are helped
By the heat of the sun and all it emits.

Storm Chant...

Listen to the haunting melody of the rain,
Dancing playfully within your dreams.
Feel the summer breeze gently kiss your skin,
The fleeting breath of life you covet so greatly.
Observe the scorching lightening strikes,
As they light up the shadows beneath nights veil.
Dance with abandonment to the thunder rumbles,
The voice of existance that calls the very soul.
Embrace the warm humidity of the darkness,
Enraptured once more by lifes melodious storm chant...

Noah

When old Noah stared across the floods,
Sky and water melted into one
Looking-glass of shifting tides and sun.

Mountain-tops were few: the ship was foul:
All the morn old Noah marvelled greatly
At this weltering world that shone so stately,
Drowning deep the rivers and the plains.
Through the stillness came a rippling breeze;
Noah sighed, remembering the green trees.

Clear along the morning stooped a bird,—
Lit beside him with a blossomed sprig.
Earth was saved; and Noah danced a jig.
