Quotes about serving, page 3
I'll Satisfy Your Mind
When you tire of the numbers,
That make you slumber fast to sleep.
Come to me I'll satisfy your mind,
With deliciousness that treats.
And when you discover others offer nothing to you,
But repeats.
You know you can count on me to bring movement,
To your feet.
I will not bore you with a serving you have had.
I will not bore you with a...
Roasted stuffed turkey.
With nothing going on...
And a taste you can not savor.
No flavor to the meat.
That greets your teeth to eat.
When you tire of the numbers,
That make you slumber fast to sleep.
Come to me I'll satisfy your mind,

BREEZE OF TIME (for Sr. Vangie Capilitan, OND)
As future swiftly paints its picture,
The past swiftly flashes back,
Future travels so fast embracing pictures of yesterday,
Of treasured time and memories,
Of trials and miseries
Creating her sand art story,
Swiftly yet captures moment of every memory,
A story, the warmth of her love,
Compassion in her Vocation;
A servant of God, fisher of men,
Serving God until then
Walking in the sands of time
Traces His footprints with her feet
Walks her life with the breeze of time
Writes every memory in her unseen diary
Carves her life-long story in the hearts of many
A promise, for her Great Savior

The Smallest Leaf
Consider the way of smallest leaf
That grows on the biggest tree
Humbly serving in the life it lives
Just from planting a tiny seed
Serving from the lowest to the highest branch
With total faith to the tasks it’s given
Devoted to dress the naked tree
By the reason that it is living
Enduring the rush of unnatural storms
As the whistling wind sustains its blow
And loyal it hangs through the burning heat
As its maturity starts to show
While its colors adorn the autumn trees
And a new season begins
Where drooping trees portray the scene
That its life is near the end

Running To Paradise
As I came over Windy Gap
They threw a halfpenny into my cap.
For I am running to paradise;
And all that I need do is to wish
And somebody puts his hand in the dish
To throw me a bit of salted fish:
And there the king is but as the beggar.
My brother Mourteen is worn out
With skelping his big brawling lout,
And I am running to paradise;
A poor life, do what he can,
And though he keep a dog and a gun,
A serving-maid and a serving-man:
And there the king is but as the beggar.
Poor men have grown to be rich men,
And rich men grown to be poor again,
And I am running to paradise;
And many a darling wit's grown dull

Canada Needs Bigger Jails
It’s obvious Canada needs more, bigger and better jails,
Too many convicted criminals getting easy and quick bails,
Lenient conditional sentences and early release,
And for repeat criminal offenders, this should have to cease.
Released after serving one third of their light sentence time,
Seldom mentioned in the media, reason for increase in crime,
System is politically correct and given great respect,
No one in their vast organization would mention neglect.
Serving time in half-way houses around the corner down the street,
And in no time it seems, their short prison sentence is complete,
Our lenient justice system seems to have gone off the deep end,
The jails are obviously not big enough for all those they apprehend.
And they don’t mind doing jail time because the system is so soft,
Treated like a hymn-singing gentleman up in the choir loft,
So jail time is more of an inconvenience than anything else,
They might sometimes feel a little but slight repulse.

Such Sweet Belief
A wonderful life, serving his fellow-man
the only fear of old age is death seen as
non-being until resurrection at the end of
time to face his loving God – such sweet
belief led to amazing accomplishment, he
is to be commended
He never allowed an Arthur Findlay to
influence him, never checked the British
Occult Society or Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
on continuous awareness after death, nor
allowed reports of the reincarnated to
distract him from now events
All he fears is non-existence until he awakens
in heaven – however much I admire his life, I
cannot pay the same price: closing my eyes
to all contrary evidence in single-minded de-
votion to duty; for me the magic of quantum
physics and magnetic energy

The Mother Believes Her Son
He is serving three years for armed robbery but the mother says my son is not a crim
He is not the one who robbed the uptown drug store for someone else the cashier mistook him
My son has told me that he is not guilty and what he tells me I always believe
He is a kind, honest and loving person and does not use guns and is not known to deceive
The mother believes her son has been wrongfully imprisoned she says my son should not be serving time
My son was mistaken for a lookalike person he was not anywhere near the scene of the crime
Of course she believes what her son did tell her even though her son told her a blatant lie
And she will go on believing he has been wronged right up until the moment that she die
You will not find a love truer or greater than the love a mother has for her daughter or son
She stands by them through their trials and tribulations her offspring in her life are number one
A good mother will stick up for her children despite what others of them have to say
She will always be there for to support them when all others from them turn away
Her son has served a third of his three year sentence she visits him every second day
She says my son he is not even guilty for someone else's crime why should he pay?

Please Forgive Me
Please forgive me
if I now choose.
Choose a little time.
Time to answer
a higher calling.
After years of servitude
of gainful employment.
Is it really too much
too much to realistically ask?
Too much to ask
after decades decades;
of working earning;
my crust my daily bread?
Poured out my heart my soul
my sweat my tears; my breath my years;
my mind; into multiple enterprises;
in varied jobs; countries; across my years.

For God’s Service
For God’s Service, we are fit, when filled with God’s Holy Spirit,
Given power directly from Christ, as God works through our life,
Controlling all we do and say, when we abide in Him day to day,
Serving Christ, our Glorious King, the one controlling everything.
With Christ in complete control, He leads in tasks, big and small,
Tasks that we wouldn’t have done, if we did not know God’s Son,
But He leads us each day and hour, guided by His Spirit’s power,
To faithfully serve Christ above, sharing His Goodness and Love.
Witnesses for the One we serve, with blessings we don’t deserve,
As God saved us from a former life, to walk anew, in Jesus Christ,
We serve and love Christ Jesus, because God first loved all of us,
Even before we thought of Him, God’s Love saved us from all sin.
Serving Christ is an honor friend, service for The King with no end,
Service for Christ for all eternity, since God first loved you and me,
It is an honor, but it’s an obligation, to reach for Christ every nation,
With His Salvation, that all men need, whether or not, they do heed.

Serve Others
All our efforts aim at
Improving the level of happiness
At individual levels
Hardly we find time
To put in efforts voluntarily
And selflessly towards
Even slightly improving
The level of happiness of someone
Totally unknown or a stranger
It need not always be a grant of fund
Or an offer of alms
A push of an automobile experiencing
Starting trouble
An extending of an arm to hold
A tumbling person
A word of kindness
To a kid who just fell, stood up
And preparing to run
Helping a co-passenger by passing on
His or her change to a bus conductor
