Love Song of Rasheed the Mad Cap

Praise to thee great Allah,
For carving my beloved
Pure as the sand of Mecca,
Rarer than the rose rarest.

But Allah,
Why you make her princess
Beyond reach of servant Rasheed?

The suitors are at the palace gate
Hankering after my love-bird.
Her father the Khaleef
Hath proclaimed-
Let eet bee
Who touches the rose tree
The one she marree.

How great you are Allah,
The fat prince of Persia
Fed on lard is passing

These Hands

Given by God -are these hands!
One can do many things -with these hands
With love one can help a strangers' hands-
Allay and comfort the elders' gnarled hands
Clean sweep and mop with these hands
Decorate and embellish with these hands
Cook and serve food to all with these hands
Clasp a loved one with these hands
Applaud one with pleasure with these hands
Dig the soil and form a garden with these hands
Hold a book to read with these hands
Write and post a card with these hands
Type a poem to cheer someone with these hands
Draw a picture and sew clothes with these hands
Paint a beautiful scene to amuse with these hands
Play a game of volley ball or cricket with these hands
Swim the waters and row a boat with these hands
Pick the harvests and fruits with these hands
Feed the animals and birds with these hands
Seek the warmth of dear ones with these hands

Energy

Omnipresent is energy,
The whole of cosmos infinitely,
All pervasive is energy,
Even in a blade of grass subtly.

It has a thumping ware,
In the surrounding air;
It has a smug seat,
Even in the latent heat.

It has a space,
‘Midst the water's pace;
It surely exists,
In electricity's precincts.

It is certainly present,
In chemicals nascent;
It is in abundance,
In light's radiance.

The Killer Inferno at Sivakasi

The killer inferno is a great tragedy
At the fire works manufacturing factory,
It is situated in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu, India,
Which is called as the ‘Little Japan of India'.

In our country it is the unit best,
And in the world ‘tis the second largest;
While we thus raise the collar,
The powerful explosions are a shock caller.

Many people died in the raging blaze,
And many were injured in the smoking haze;
Thirty-five persons were charred to death,
And more than seventy were injured in health.

In small sheds workers were over crowding,
Above the limits the raw materials were in dumping;
There exist prescribed rules and regulations,
But many were the norms that were in violations.

Show Happiness

If you mean to show happiness
That will never be seen on face
There is today total mad race
It will be like running after oasis in any case

You will find many freedom fighters
Like our * Subhas Chandra Bose
He was exiled but still remained happy
Disgraced BY British but never asked for mercy

You talk of Lord Mahavira, a saint
He saw whole world unhappy
Suffering from all ills
But he remained unconcerned with powerful will

To talk of present age and time
You won’t find it any time
It will be good to put it in fine oratory words
That statement may always take us backward

My Equation Is One Gain To Two Losses

my equation is one gain to two losses!

&

unbelievables do happen

before my stunned gaze!

the bubbles of dreams of yesterdays

yes, they are buds of reality now!

i ask myself million times

' is it true? am i awake and conscious?

The Youth And The Old

the youth and the old-

o what a contrast in between!

the youth is unapologetically mindful

of every millimeter of its dress

for its match, crease, fitness, and what not,

craning and twisting its neck in front of the mirror

and straining every nerve to put up a decent show

everytime it steps out of the house!

the old cares the least for anything

and moves out shabbily unmindful of stature -

Death and Dreams

Death, with it, brings silence,
the silence which conceals the voice of life,
the same voice in which dreams revertebrated,
so, with arriving death dreams die.

But, few dreams didn't surrender,
instead they chose to fight,
some fighters were experienced and some were tender,
but struugle for existance was thier common plight.

Oh! this battle wasn't for victory, but for existance,
on path of dreams death laid some fences,
the fences fo failure, the fences of defeat,
but, in the path of hope few made thier exit.

In fences of failure few dreams were caught,
enemy was destiny but will was not,
with power of optimism they tatterd the fence,
such a mighty blow even death couldn't defend.

God has planned a whole

One who seeks the road misses it

Let the thief do his job

Let the politicians manipulate war among the states

In the name of nationalism communism fascism

And democracy or theocracy

Let the capitalist seduce the consumers

And rob the people

Do not ask them to change their course

Because that will be a sacrilege

God has planned a whole
