Enthusiasm

One who is possessed by God,
Is known as a person with Enthusiasm;
He is at the threshold to the Lord,
And has with him no phantasm.

His mind is fresh as a rose,
And he is ever present in his work;
At it he is positive and close,
And desires to do things and not shirk.

He never acts in hurry and haste,
And on any person does bank;
He is prudent and doesn't waste,
His quest is to be high in rank.

He ever wishes to take in knowledge,
Wherein his charisma steadily increases;
With enthusiasm he gets enough courage,
And he doesn't deviate from his creases.

Close Your Eyes

Close your eyes and shut out the sun
Or else select the site sans electricity
May be the wilderness of Terrai, in the still of the night
Listen to the Sounds of Silence
May be the hum of the cricket likens it
And you might feel that the mass of energy that you are and the mass of energy that the distant divan is
Which you dont see and you know it is there
Or else the mass of energy that the yonder tree is in silhouette are identical
And you are a part of a continuum that streches beyond the dingy lane
And the tree scape and the land scape and sky scape and beyond
And may be you might communicate with the dark mass called the Great Attractor to which the world of tongue and touch rushes desparately
The Being there with its unquenchable thirst drinks deep in boundless manna
The nothingness which is our bridegroom feeds on you then
And you forget you father's name and lose all your grossness
Enjoy yourself if you are a masochist
If you are a masculine, this is no news for you
But for others if such information comes true
What should be the remuneration of the poet?

A Bloom of Poesy to dear Kamakshi

Respected, dear Madam KAMAKSHI,
This day as you voluntarily retire
From our esteemed Coach Factory,
As an officer from a coveted tier,

This ever-fresh bloom of poesy,
With heart-felt love is strung,
And is proffered very truly,
With ardent prayers sung.

A kind and affable sister,
To her colleagues here;
Her unflinching help she'd administer,
To wipe out many a tear!

With her intelligence wound,
She has crossed many a cadre;
To her duty ever bound,
She has climbed the ladder.

Maiden Cook

A young pretty bride, very coy,
Entered her new house with joy;
She was highly educated, quite,
Bereft of the house-hold chores, right.
Next day her dear mother-in-law,
Beckoned her to the kitchen and saw
Her taking charge of the cooking.
The girl was aghast at the booking!
However, she made up her mind to cook,
And thought she'd take the cook book;
The menu for lunch was given,
As per the book she was driven.
Every often she ran to her mother-in-law,
And took her advice too, for she was raw.
On the dining table the fare was laid,
To partake, the other members she bade.
One by one, the items were tasted,
In appreciation, their heads nodded;
When they came to the greens to taste,
One, in a hurry got up and ran in haste,

Rag-pickers Versus Vain-glories!

Rag-pickers versus Vain-glories!

A huge, loaded poly-fibre sack
On his heavily-tilted back
Profusely bleeding sweat,
The rag picker boy trudges along!
He plunges his face unfailingly
Into every waste-bin within his jurisdiction,
Searching like a cock, scavenging for rags
That resemble his crumbled dreams!
To earn half-meal a day
He drags himself all along the way,
Stitching his face to the earth-
Never a look at the blue heavens-
Thrusting his fate into the back-breaking sack!
While so many such ill-fated boys and girls
Daily plod through their lives-

Yes, there is another group-
Amidst vain boastful talks,

The Way Of The World.

THE WAY OF THE WORLD.

When I talk something sweet of you
Understand-
There remains the sticky slag of black bitterness
In the inmost recesses of my heart!

When I powerfully contradict something outside
Beware-
The same I approve meekly in my heart!

Ever at strife are my heart and tongue-
To the speechless voice of my heart
Listen you, then, O, my friend!

When something slanderous of women I profess aloud
Understand-
My thievish looks in every corner fish for them!

When I advise you of obscenity to shun with all vehemence

Oh! My dear God

Oh! My dear God
You are my reverential Lord
You are ever with me, my Ward
For which heartfelt thanks transmits this bard!

For myself, I have not wanted this
For myself, I have not wanted that
You have always provided this and that
I am so very grateful for all that.

During pooja time when I stand before you
All the kindness you've shown, I view
For which my heart with emotion swells
As ring the pooja ‘s tinkling bells.

At the temple your magnificence, when I behold
My heart throbs with subtle thoughts untold
There before you when I humbly bow
Streams of tears from my eyes do flow.

The ugly human face

Wailing with tears and
Helplessly in commotion,
All of you’re telling to write
The history of hatred, enmity, killings,
The history of human ugly face.

My pen is dried up,
Tell me in which medium,
And language should I write.
Where to begin and
Where to end
Such history of human ugly face.

Oh! Betrayer
You’re telling me to wipe out from the history
Of such human ugly face,
That shattered and shook human conscience,
That haunts the face of those innocent people,
Killed and hurt; widows and orphans.
That hums: that reminds.

Neil Armstrong-The Astronaut

Wright brothers first started the race,
Then was launched the Sputnik in space.
Twelve years later in the year 1969,
Man set foot on the distant moon—so fine.

Astronaut Neil Armstrong in space craft
Apollo-11 with co-pilot Edwin E.Aldrin were aloft
In space, and victoriously landed on the moon,
Steering their lunar landing craft ‘Eagle', soon.

On the moon near the ‘Sea of Tranquility'
They printed their foot-steps for eternity.
The first person was Neil Armstrong,
To step on moon, and his words, us throng—

"That's one small step for(a) man—
One giant leap for mankind."

His simple sentence was a corrasion,
Above the Earth's national divisions and dissensions
