Quotes about chosen, page 4

I Am Hoping You Have Chosen To Soar

I am not out seeking,
To crush your feathers!
Nor do I wish...
With my own ambitions,
To search the sky...
To see how high you fly!

I am hoping you have chosen to soar.

And if in your flight,
Your eyes are on me...
To see whether or not,
You are ahead...
Or I may overtake your lead.
You are not flying high just to succeed!
You are hoping in your heart,
My ego is not pleased.

I am hoping you have chosen to soar.
Nothing less.

Gaza

There is no God in the death camps of Gaza
God has chosen to ignore the genocide
There are no NEWS cameras of the big three
None speak disparaging remarks
against the holy state of Israel
In the center of Gaza is the army of the beast
against people ravaged by scarcity, hunger and thirst
and missiles made of match sticks
Caged in the bordered land of Gaza
captives of the Chosen Few
“Show me the Devil “ Tzipi says
They had open hands to show them
“Then show me your cards”
“We will beat you every time “ she adds
“We will beat you down like
Germany beat us, without considering humanity”.
“Like it says, we’re the chosen people”
She laid down the flush
Of raw sewage and blood
Of screaming babies, motherless and lost

Among all Gifts

Among all cards I 've chosen a queen of death,
I folded it amiably, so I became a sinner;
Atropos smilingly, I swear, became my friend;
a deathly poker game with me the winner;

A dim shadow; waiting in crossroads forking;
under the cemetery bells, glooming,
to marry me in nightly fog, cerberus' barking,
in Stygian necromancy dark looming;

Among all gifts I 've chosen a smile of death,
her dreamy form, a descending glimmer,
falling upon a hard cement with back of neck,
as I was lifted in mid air by a shimmer;

Dryads lifted me in Acheronian excursions;
so soft was the blessing, and unreal,
child of my loneliness in nine dimensions;
in worlds of emptiness, to dream and feel.

3 Part Poem

Many a time things happen
We know in our heart it is so
but chosen not to believe
N when the news of it finally come
We fall apart cause we had a feeling
it is so n chosen not to believe
Had we chosen to believe
Can it be avoided in time
I dun think it will be so
Things often happen for a reason
We know not but may in the future
when we think back to now

Like the old folks often know
When it is their time to go
Weather it is peaceful or not
Time to go is time to go
weather we want it or not

Like Grandma seem to have know

Getting Away

The sea, the sun, the sand and the surf,
The views, the dunes, the cliffs and the turf,
The peace, the calm, the rest and the play,
The delights and the pleasures of just getting away.
The suspense, the excitement, the expectation and the thrill,
A holiday you've chosen of your own freewill.

The journey, the jokes, the jalopy and the jams,
The scenes, the valleys, the hillsides and the dams,
The dates, the location, the venue and the place,
The packing and the lugging of an over packed suitcase.
The restaurants, the cafes, the menus and the wines,
A holiday that's chosen for it's beautiful coastlines.

The reversal, the reluctance, the returning and the rain,
The sadness, the leaving, the glumness and migraine,
The routine, the office, the stress and the low pay,
The memories and the highlights of a happy hideaway.
The searching, the saving, the booking and the price,
A holiday is chosen for next year, to be precise!

Oh, the Shamrock

Through Erin's Isle
To sport awhile
As Love and Valour wander'd,
With Wit, the sprite,
Whose quiver bright
A thousand arrows squander'd;
Where'er they pass,
A triple grass
Shoots up, with dew-drops streaming,
As softly green
As emeralds seen
Through purest crystal gleaming.
Oh the Shamrock, the green, immortal Shamrock!
Chosen leaf
Of Bard and Chief,
Old Erin's native Shamrock!

Says Valour, "See,
They spring for me,
Those leafy gems of morning!" --

Aching Hearts

Half a lifetime has now passed
since romance touched our hearts...

We were young lovers filled
with wonder and endless possibilities

The sun had never set on our love
until one fateful summer day

How could we know fate would fling our souls
so cruelly to opposite ends of the universe?

How could we understand
that destiny knew full well what
our minds did not want to know?

How deeply we plunged into
the depths of our souls, knowing
that young love would be sacrificed,
As fate commanded, we cleanse

Deeper Inner Meanings

Let us ponder
the words and phrases
poets and artists

have used
as we delve

into obvious
and deeper
inner meanings.

What is exact origin
of these so often
quoted famous
choice chosen words?

A spontaneous
eureka phrase

They've Chosen To Be Winners

Picking up those pieces from a running done.
Now taking time when before they gave none.
Less they find offensive too.
With fresh sentiments meant,
They've improved.

Sticking to a purpose with a focused aimed
With minds more open.
And those attitudes changed.

A new day dawning has to them been sent.
To send defensive motives flushed,
With their fluxing minds now rinsed.

And...
They've chosen to be winners!
With those sentiments meant.
Winners.
With those sentiments meant.
Winners.

From The Nation Israel

It is The Lord who reigns on high, directing the lives of you and I,
Blessing those who come to Him, rebuking all, who remain in sin,
The same applies to nations too, in a promise to a righteous Jew,
Within God’s Promise to Abraham, He’ll bless or curse each land.

All God’s purposes He shall fulfill, through that tiny land of Israel,
Recalling His purpose and plan, which God revealed to Abraham.
Each nation that blesses his land, will be blessed by God’s hand,
And those that curse his country, God will curse for all of eternity.

In a land Abraham never possessed, all Israel will yet be blessed,
As the chosen land is given to, the peoples that God intended to,
And all the nations of this world, shall see the peace yet unfurled,
As the chosen Seed of Abraham, reigns from the Promised Land.

A land promised to only one, and his decedents through The Son,
Chosen at the world’s foundation, to reveal to all God’s Salvation,
It was in that land that Jesus Christ, became for God our sacrifice,
To reconcile, all the world to Him, by forgiving all men, of their sin.
