I believed or thought I was disoriented and the victim of a bizarre dream and I believe I paced in and out of the room and possibly into one of the other rooms. I may have re-examined her, finally believing that this was true.

Time signature kept,
With a rhythmic tempo...
Coming to rest between beats.
Half steps met and seething sexiness,
Paced and sensual.
And an oboe flows,
Teased by chords of piano keys.
Keeping our tune melodic...
Sweet and orchestrated,

A metrical caprice.

Up she rose, fair daughter--well she was graced
As a cloud her going, stept from her chair,
As a summer-soft cloud, in her going paced,
Down dropped her riband-band, and all her waving hair
Shook like loosened music cadent to her waist;--

A Busy Life

THE busy days are here
crowding themselves
packed like sardines
but there is still joy somehow
in this fast paced
life,

reading between the lines
amidst this crowd,
the poems keep on whistling
they have a beautiful world
within and

still abreast
as alive as
a fledgling about
to fly
away

Ode to Phylicia

With both hands held
tightly to the rail,
you looked over the room
like a land baron overseeing
his vineyard.
From your cradled space
you paced from one end
to the other, unaided;
your countenance plastered
with self-reliance
and determination.

This was long time before
you played Tinkerbell
or made the Honor Roll
but a father could see
your brilliance gleaming.
