Quotes about pastel, page 6

Fool am I...

Glancing over my shoulder
I caught her staring out the windowpane,
It stopped me in my tracks
My soul spellbound once again,
From cascades of silken amber tresses
Dancing down a porcelain fair face,
To frame those pastel eyes of powdery green.

And pressed up closer to the glass
I noticed parted trembling lips of rosy pink
Mouth undecipherable words towards my heart
For it was not rain running down her cheeks
But teardrops I had caused for being rash
Fool am I to cause such needless thoughtless pain
So running to her arms, I fled again!

Love in Words

Naive little things, words,
yet so effective when strung together
breathing romance
and fading loneliness

between the lines
with words in pastel strokes
joined in just the right way.

A writer's thoughts
whether fact or fiction
become another's hopes,
and the words find their way
to a reader's heart as surely
as petals dropped in a forest
mark the way home again.

I love you's bloom, only to fade
by truths revealed in even more words.

{painted Pink Sky}

My eyes set their gaze across the horizon
The sun is setting in late fall afternoon
Cold snap in the air as the leaves swirl about
A welcoming view is the painted pink sky

Streaks of pale blue dotted with white
Have been suddenly brushed with a soft pastel
The beauty is breathtaking, such natural artistry
I am in awe of the painted pink sky

I think of you now, how magnificent it would be
To find ultimate and much needed serenity
Wrapped up in your strong arms in loves sweet embrace
To be held by you under the painted pink sky

Dusk to Dawn for M ladyTara

The evening breeze a lullaby
which echoes softly in the sky
and bids the sun go to his rest.
The silver moon will take his place
dispensing silver light with grace.
When night has passed the sun will rise
and from the east will paint the skies
with pastel tints we love the best.
From palest pink to rose and gold.
A miracle that men behold
with wondering eyes, when they arise
to start the duties of the day.
from their warm beds reluctantly.
Each morning brings a fresh surprise
the sun provides triumphantly.

The Outcry

Mountains stand straight against the barren sky
And it looks like a pastel drawing.
Where is that bird's song going?
Butterflies could see only in the season
And the flowers wither after giving their fragrance.
Helpless man like a foot-ruler measures the invisible destiny
When the death smiles behind.
Sun and Moon never try to live together
And he who writes and erase
Still the life is a mistake?

*Quotation
And the days are not full enough
And the nights are not full enough
And life slips by like a field mouse
Not shaking the grass
[Ezra.Pound]

Tess... Tess

Sad tortured hillside, against
a pastel slate sky;
mute; purple stucco stubble.
Smoking chimney; early morning lit.

Wind blown, lean trees
beautified mystical silver birch;
doors of classrooms; I to enter do not want.
Morning tea; on a wooden bench.

Black top, sexy miniskirt
terracotta pots;
matchbox houses; ghastly trousers.
Leaves sparkling; wind turned.

Smoking crayon, set
against an ash-grey sky;
swirling; blue grey mist.
Toast; vapour steamed.

Big, Wide, White Soft Pillow On My Bed Tonight

big, wide, white soft pillows
on my bed tonight
my head rests for a while
as i wait for you
on this kind of lovely game

my fingers are tired and there they
are fainting with my hands
my eyes are closing like the windows
of the houses in the village
lights turning off like fireflies
getting some sleep on treetops

some locks of my hair fall on the the white
linens where my body lies
like a mountain on the grasy plain

white soft pillows on my bed
my conscience sleeps like a fat man drunk and dead asleep
on the thick warm pastel blue mattress

Navels

Men have navels more or less;
Some are neat, some not
Being fat I must confess
Mine is far from hot.
Woman's is a pearly ring,
Lovely to my mind;
So of it to shyly sing
I am inclined.

I believe in nudity.
Female forms divine
Should be bared for all to see
In colour and in line.
So dear ladies, recognise
The dimpling of your waist
Has approval in my eyes,
Favour in my taste.

Darlings, please you, paint them gold,
Or some pastel hue;

Pluck A Plum Where There Is No Tree

PLUCK A PLUM WHERE THERE IS NO TREE

God who freed
from fruit the seed
can pick a pear
from a baby tree.

God who sired
the hallowed fig
does harvest fruit
from a barren sprig.

God made blooms pastel
and bright fruits
and can a kumquat take
from a tree of quince.

Who made Pluto and
the Pleiades

The canvas empty and expecting

The canvas empty and expecting
Awaits the stroke of colours pastel in their shades.

Through Improvisation we compose through intuition
Through Improvisation we allow Imagination a realm
Within which she may rule.

Her boundaries marked with borders
Outstretched within a frame
She seeks to refrain from desire.
She seeks to construct her sanity.

Yet with every breathe we fulfil the will to live,
Every time we respire we tire more so of the past
As we desire more so each day the moment to last.
To know we are alive and to appreciate the moment
And to appreciate each other it’s all we can ask of ourselves.
