Dreaming
Happened!
I swear by the chaste vast firmament
Through which pierces into the depths of azury ocean
Whizzing like an arrow the sanguine sun
The phratric first of Ikshvaku domain
Of which notable king was Lord Rama
To whom drowned gusty in devotion like Hanuman
I was taken to recite my verses
Which when opened got drowned
Into the unfathomable mercy of Lord Rama's effulgence
Which made His whole court tolerant
That ever so makes me pursue my dreaming..

Purple Glitter.....An Ode To Writers
When blackened skies shroud
Purple thoughts are thrust
As sprinkles of glitter dust
Up through the atmospheric pressure
To islands of pixies
Who share
Clouded thoughts and wishful dreams
As silent screams
Fall on ears
As bloody tears
Recite out loud or whisper
Of autumnal leaves
Crisper
Are the icicles which dance through eyes and minds and lips
Softer
Are the tears that flow
Through meandering streams of minds which weep

Spaces between Her Heartbeats
The beautiful woman disappears,
And I’m lost when she’s not here
To recite my name
Like a mockingbird’s refrain.
Her sweet words echo in my brain
As I gaze out midnight windows
Following the path
Of the gently falling rain.
It is my soul that exists
Between the spaces of her heartbeats,
And her breath is my perfume
When flowers fade in a sunlit room
And I’m facing certain defeat.
I’ve forgotten my home
To linger for a moment in her eyes.

Blank Pages
Fierce are blank books triumphing over good,
Then biggest literature is born for the bachelorhood.
Fun are the readers to accompany, to admire
For their effort and will, they are in their attire.
Good people do read and recite for pleasure,
Leaders of literature force the one farther;
It is one of the best of rhythm, of rounder look,
Saying is not doing or writing a book.
Blank pages do run, their fun is deep when justice
Is made from the spelling how we make abruptness.

I couldn't fulfill her strong desire
One dark evening
I met a bare-footed little girl
Who carries a ragged doll
Along a narrow cobbled street.
I found tears in her gloomy eyes
And before I asked she muttered;
'Uncle do you have a picture book for me to see? '
I was shocked and I said;
'I am so sorry my dear Magpie,
I have only my pocket Dictionary.'
'That I read a long time ago
But I couldn't find my parents yet.'
Oh! I recite the saddest poem in her talking eyes
That fades away with warm tears.

These Poems These Songs This Beauty This Life
THESE POEMS THESE SONGS THIS BEAUTY THIS LIFE
These poems these songs this beauty this life-
All that I hear inside me
And have heard from others
Through years of listening-
All that I take with me inside
As if it were forever mine
The songs I have learned and love
The poems I recite in my soul
Without even trying to-
All this like the dust
Like the air
Will vanish when I go
And the song of my soul
Will be
As blank as the silence
Of a page never written on.

Wind’s favorite poem
My eyes were closed in a pleasant slumber
When I heard a clap of distant thunder
Wind opened my book and flipped through the pages
It has been reading like this throughout the ages
Some writings it liked, they had a nice sound
The one in particular made it astound
The beauty of rhyming was so profound
The wind made a circle and came around
With blow so fierce that it ripped the page
And sent it flying as a wind’s prized catch
From that time on, every wind I befriend
Could recite my poem from start to end!

Choices, Or Destiny (For Aufie Zophy)
right and wrong,
division and hatred.
moral implications,
immoral men.
ignorance and pride,
hearts restrained by fear.
the hammer of judgement,
hands buried in pockets!
do we fly?
or watch pictures of flight?
do we care?
or live by token gestures?
do we pray?
or recite mechanical cures?
do we live?
or exist behind walls?
choices, or destiny?
truth, or salvation?

Make that part of 'your' act
You don't like what I say.
Or the topics that I write.
You don't like my performance,
When I recite?
I am so glad you are here.
It is now your time,
To take the spotlight away from me...
And to show your abilities at centerstage.
Why do you look afraid?
Make that part of 'your' act.
With the spitting of your venom.
You never know who might be out there,
Appreciating what you do and attracted to that!
What are you searching for?
Some assistance?
You didn't seem to mind,
To critique my performance.

I Went To Church Today
i went to church today
and as it is customary
at dawn
a sacrifice so to say
for advent's sake
i join in the singing of
the hymns
i sit and stand and kneel
i recite my prayers
on paper
i look at the pulpit
and listen to the
priest saying the homily
i sit and stand and kneel
i look around the corners
i follow the lines of the pillars
i look at the center of this
church majestic in its
