Tango
takes two to tango
takes one
to ballet
it may take three to boogie
five or four to do the twist
but let me tell you friend
i am classical and i like ballet most
specially the split.

Le Palais Des Glaces (House of Mirrors)
“Les Parapluies De Harringey! ”
“Ah, Camberwell...Mon Amour! ”
“Last Tango In Brixton! ”
“Last Year in Holloway! ”
All over London
we lived our love
as if it were
a classic French movie.
Ah, mais...qui!

With Poetry
With poetry
I have found a purpose
With poetry
things just seem easier
With poetry
words will dance the tango
With poetry
I can put meaning to my thoughts
With poetry
I can ramble on and on
With poetry
everything is easier

I Can't Yodel On a Horse
Keep this in mind...
I wear my sox,
And tie my shoes.
Do you?
Hip hop and fox trot?
Tango and bop?
Don't worry if you don't!
I can't yodel on a horse.
And I am willing to bet...
That is your area of expertise.
You just look so confident.

The Day Of The Elderly
they gather this morning
at the park
and had a marathon,
and then they shared
dinner with the mayor
having dried fish
and steamed rice
and then they dance
the kuracha and the
tango
as others sing the
old songs
how nice is the color
of the sunset

Tango
Dance with me and let's tango,
dance with me and just feel my sweat,
our body so close together,
as we sway do you remember,
last night loving heat was devine,
it just that you blew my mind,
and another bottle of wine,
do you remember.

Tango....
life must be a tango
it is a step forward and
another step backward
the woman bends
gracefully
so the man sees
what beauty lies
there
the man stands proud
about this
human combination
one must give
and the other takes
one voluntarily
surrenders
and the other
takes care of
the rest

Raised From The Scroll
I'm running just like
The tears down my cheek and ink
on the tear-stained page
I'm running behind
But write looking forward to
Times that live in words
As a new dawn breaks
Life is breathed into the chest
Of words ‘til they wake
My sorrow they take
And settle my restless soul
Words raised from the scroll

Old Song
If love had sung inside
of us, maybe we would
have heard it. You know,
my darling, that love never
sings, never, until it is required.
Even if it had sung inside
of us like an old flamenco
tango, we would still have
learned to dance its sorrow.
You know so well that to dance
and to go on is all we can do.

All Those Things Solely Defied
interpretation upon such a vague sight
the edges of hearing the rims of taste
a tango lost in passions soul lonely dance
bitter sweet moved towards the light
Rubicon crossed in a single rock to waste
both words and silence soul lonely trance
to write a poem all made of past
to make any crossing eternity last
