Quotes about tango, page 7
Fifth Avenue At Twilight
Across the moonlit painted skies
The lonely windows weep
And in their faces candles creep
Much to the night's demise
Shadows walk the alleyways
They slither through the grime
Crooked top hats droop with time
Deflecting others' gaze
Trees are few and weak under trial
As smog accumulates
And all life slowly suffocates
Under its ashen smile

Our last tango
I feel so lonely
In this room for two
Smoking your thoughts
And drinking your dreams
We're still in that Paris
Our Paris
Even we didn't dance yet
Our last tango
You're my sitting stone
I'm your throne
Just open your petrified heart
Only for a second
To understand
That stupid metaphor
Of being together
Which means
Occasionally
Love

Samba master mango eats
Sweet tooth rose up to the tree
The rhythm blast mambo beats
Foot soles sing we're free we're free
Limbo dances crawl and creep
Ballet fragile tip toes mirth
Trumpets blow across the earth
Do not stop do not sleep
Tango steps sharp bodies break
Arms spin hips in a hoop
Colourful skins a rainbow make
Paving a wave to a final loop
2011.

A Party
0n her 60th birthday
she had her hair dyed red
had a face life
and had her body
bleached
she wears her skimpy
outfit
with yellow flowers
on the fabric
her lips are thick
red
her body still makes
the swing
she dances the whole
night
does the tango and boogie
we cheer for her strength
still making it

Hard-headed Feet...
at the party of a friend on his
5lst birthday last night
they went on some revivals
matt monroe and
pilita corales,
gosh, they know the lyrics
by heart
i listened with the
giant ears of this year's
metallic rabbit.
tried to dance the salsa
and the mambo and the chacha
and that criminal tango...
disappointing indeed,

The Real Person
even if waltz is the dance of the day
for the dictator
there are those who dance
the tango
to his dismay
they reason out
that brave people only die once
as cowards die
a thousand deaths
they know how to dance the impossible
they are rocks that obstruct
the rage, the flow
we call them men of principles
they
who die earlier than expected
mark a name
in the fame of stones.

Welcome September
Wide awake i stare
on while the sea and the sun
tango as they give light
to a new day
Weary i open these eyes
as i embrace the warming sun
of a new day
August gave birth to September
and brought reminiscent of the last month
and gave way to new experiences
so eyes closed in faith i take
the time to thank my lord
for the light of a new day
and the breath of a new time

Trapez duo
poetry is letting the conscious
and unconscious realms of the brain meet
so that they can teach each other the way
to tango to the heart of readers
so that they can fly onto each other
a trapez duo suspended on a literary rope
to amaze audience with mind sweeping
free and rhymed metres, spot on haiku,
rib tickling senryu, swinging pantuns, reflective
tankas and bewildering catchy love sonnets

Visions and Moonlight in The Erotic Night
Preparing and sipping mystical tea,
My head begins to swim, some added element of enlightenment,
Visions and moonlight in the erotic night,
The removal of clothing,
Tango of rhythmic bodies, arms entwined, a necklace of kisses
Beginning on the nape of the neck
Reaching around to delicate breasts,
The blending of amorous breaths,
The proud bodies of desire
Begin to shine in the midnight hour.

Glitter & Litter
Sometimes It Happens
Life Taken
From Bright Eyes
With Just A Glimpse
Of Glitter
Soft Clouds
Illusory Guides
Bitterness
I Could Taste
And Danger
And My Beloved
Entangled
In A Crazy Tango
No Spirals
No Vortex
No Halves
No Peace
Life Creates
