Quotes about tango, page 8
Dear Stillness,
Still, are you here?
Still, it is I.
Still, you have found me.
Shrouded with the weight of your presence,
Shifting through what scars memory has captured,
Shredding through ties that have kept me intact.
Shrapnel splits veins, leaving venom to spread.
Still, you are no comfort,
Still, you hover like a thick mist,
Still, I am deafened by your whispered silence.
Still, I need you to go, but
Still, I want you to stay.

Did She Ever Dance The Tango?
Did she ever dance the tango
On those clear and cloudless nights?
Did she ever wash the dishes?
While I was wondering what might
Time have made of our new loving
Or was it moving out of sight?
Did she ever fully love you?
Or did she merely say she did?
Did she sometimes feel too tired?
Or did she not have any kids?
Did you simply just forget me?
Why did you let my passion die?
Why did you never ever let me
Just be me so i could fly?

Spiritual - I am just a little part of myself
so little is myself
a little corner left of heart
a consciousness
i claim it all - predatory
do i have full reins?
the lonely dead of night
it has choked me in tears
it holds full reins?
we tango together for sure
sometimes together
sometimes on opposite lanes
i am a dancer with set rules to follow
and have been told to be
totally responsible for missteps
the heart it is made to
measure them all
i am just a little space on left
meditating on them all

Dance Partners
Dance Partners.
A fox asked the flamingo up for a dance, but the bird
was coy and refused. A gray legged wolf promised to
to stand guard should the fox get frisky.
A match made in heaven, fox and flamingo swooned
and forgot their enmity. That’s when the wolf saw its
chance and mortally interrupted their tango.
How foolish the unlikely pair had been, thinking
nature could be bypassed, even for a brief moment,
in the name of passion and romance.

Empty Presence
I found a lifeline in you, glass of wine
And I gave my blood to you
But my heart is on loan from a long time ago
To the man that made me surrender to you
If it were up to me I'd be rid of it all
But I just can't release
My grip from him or the bottle
Though both become empty, they tease
Persisting to provoke, always present
But fleeting and leaving a trail as a token
Of tears and red drops that are Hell-bent
On reminding me that all that's left is false hope indefinite

Good day, this is music of millions
Do not look for anything faster.
Do not look for anything stronger.
Under the cape of happiness
magical sound carres us.
Sound that carries like the wind
carries desert sand.
Sound which a summer day
brings to an autumn night.
Into dreary autumn
it brings spring breath.
Breath which lifts us
Between the sky and the earth.
Breath which lasts
Like neverendng music.
The music of millions becomes
Our eternal day.
Good day, my dear.
This is Paco de Lucia.
This is Tango Flamenco.

Escape Key
candy apple of my eye she
drops her veils
eye of reciprocity
am so moved accordingly
mouth fingers member avails
webcam tango tangle we
privately revel in marvels
manually testing technology
it is our time for privacy
in lieu of tangible intimacy
overcuming geography
circumventing
we make our lives just
a little bit better for the bruising
relieved I

The Dance
I shall dance before him this night-
Wrap him up in my spin and swirl...
Call unto him with my writhing-come hither-
Step, step him into my dancing whirl;
I will Tango deep inside of his psyche...
Cha-Cha my way into his heart-
Endear him with my dip and twirl ever softly-
And sustain him with my Art;
I shall waltz into his private space this night...
And take him totally by surprise...
Swing step him into my longing soul-
Steady dancing with him 'til the sunrise;

The Mountain and the Wind
The mountain stands
The wind plays with her
Leaving her treetops in disarray
The wind moves on, unaware
Of the rustling gossips
Of him and her.
The mountain stands
The wind serenades her
A sighing song among the leaves
The wind moves on, unaware
Of the thousand songs he gave
Echoing in the bamboo grove of her heart.
The mountain stands
The wind dances around her
A waltz, a tango one eventide
The wind moves on, unaware
Of the face he left behind
Carved forever in her heart.

The Regretable Pattern
I drew a pattern on the floor
Stood up to walk the lines
Faced the end and found the more
I walked there were more signs
I read the detours, U-turns, yields
Tried to leave the path I drew
Admired from afar the oceans, woods and fields
I wish I'd drawn in but never knew
I neared my destination quicker than I'd hoped
Looked upon the soil cold and dark in which I'd lay
Regretted using pen, and trying in vain around I groped
For something to erase the pre-laid plans for my final day
