Requesting Yet Another Rest

I know you don't think,
That for me this has been exhausting.
But...
Is it possible you can change your riding position,
On my back.
Or at least rid some of those snacks you carry?

'Complaints!
That's all I hear from you.
What else are you doing?
And don't say...
The directions I have given you are incorrect.
Are you requesting yet 'another' rest?

When are you going to learn,
To show me more appreciation?
And don't act like you are too out of breath to answer.
Just the other day I was telling someone,
How ungrateful you are.
Here! Take this cookie.'

Sesame Street Gangsters

It's the Sesame Street gangsters
The one and only crew
Elmo's got a gun
He’ll shoot your down
Cookie monster's gone loco
From eating all that coco
He’s got a machine gun and shooting up the place
If you only see his crazy ass damn face
Then there's Grover the travel guide
Smoking everything plus weed till he die
We got Bert with his gay ass self
It's to late to give him any help
Ernie drived him crazy
So he started drinking and got lazy
Let's not forget the damn annoying Ernie
He's been taking coke and getting high with his ducky
That's the Sesame Street Gangster

Sweet, Sweet Moon of Earthly Heaven

Oh, moon, moon in the nightly sky
how beautiful you are in the nightly sky
your charming glow of light lighting up the heavens
romantizing the stars twinkling in the nightly sky of twilight

your sweet appealing face which is the chocolate chip
in every warm chocolate chip cookie
that makes people cry and laugh and hug and smile
at every glimpse of heaven in your sweet angelic face

enriching every love poem and song
which makes me glad to be alive and enjoy life
for every warm feeling that comes
when adoring the nightly moon of sweet heaven.
I love you moon

It's All Right

It's all right
To wish upon a falling star on a midsummer night

It's all right
To love old movies, even in black and white

It's all right
To jump at nighttime noises that give you a fright

It's all right
To scoot up next to me and hold me tight

It's all right
To pinch pennys when the cookie jar money is tight

It's all right
To go to our future nuptials a little upright

It's all right
To be a little giddy on our wedding night

for D.

when you let me in
i feel the warmth of your room
a little bit damp
for a summer time like this one

i must be honest
there is something inside that repulses
what i have in mind
there is coffee that does not fit the time
there is that cookie that
does not satisfy
any hunger of mine

i beg you then
to let me out
into the open fields of my desire
where i can be home
again

you stay

His Burden

early morning she goes out
putting orange juice in a cellophane
without bread or cookie
she sips like a child

she cannot be outdone by him
she walks a kilometer or so
and he would be looking for her
for hours filled with anxiety

then she finds her without her bra
in the marketplace
singing and dancing
the people looking at her with pity

tired she sleeps on one of the benches
and snores aloud
dirt is on her feet and arms
and hair and breasts

Bitter Blue Blanket

chocolate chip cookie bitter blue blanket
tie dyed shirt and buttermilk biscuit
i cant help you when u need a kiss
songs are born of pain such as this

chanting her name while she charms
lost again in her crimson berry arms
Lost in a bitter blue blanket
Lost in a haze of angry black tornadoes

And then, a wavy haired skateboarder smiles up at me
'lighten up dude' is all he says
I grin and instantly the world is righted again
Ice cream flows down a chocolate mountain

Cast off the bitter blue blanket
Bathe in the sun eat yellow air
She will learn to be fair
She will learn to be fair

Friendship: The Warm Blanket of Happiness

Friends are the chocolate chip
in every warm chocolate chip cookie
who sweetness is as sweet
as shamrock shakes and love

is as hard as rocks themselves
for with every friendship
comes love and hate and warmth
for close friends of ours

who make us laugh and smile
and enjoy ourselves
even when life rains down
drops of blue which makes us cry and rejoice

at every weak moments in our lives
but knowing there is a warm blanket
of happiness in your friends in knowing
that friends are like family and friends
are forever which makes life

My Shopping List

I write my shopping-list in rhyme.
It doesn’t take me too much time,
and always helps me to remember.
(I’ve been doing it since last September.)

Wholemeal bread
low-fat spread
strawberry jam
dry-cured ham
Cheddar cheese
frozen peas
free-range eggs
chicken legs
grape jelly
pork belly
lamb chops
lemon drops
fillet steak
chocolate cake
cookie mix

Salvation Lost

Wild and tempestuous fires arise in me,
calling forth the cold regrets which plague every man
The clouds stir and thunder splits the world asunder...
a flash of melted memories
carved into the cookie-cutter shapes
of christmas trees, snowmen, and stars
It is a pretense to the story enacted in my mind
A pre-beginning, looking as if it will mould the rest-
Praises are sung to the mountains and the stars,
no one deeming to notice the whistling whisper,
breathing slow and evenly on the back of their necks
until the hair stands up
The whisper floats above and onward unanswered.
They do not know that they have missed opportunity's quiet knocking.
