One Of Those Birthdays

i found finally the photograph of us,
five children
three sisters and two brothers
different faces, mine is an aquiline nose,
the first has white skin, and the second is the
dark brown cookie,
and the third has a long straight hair
square jawed,
i always felt that i am
out of place, barefoot
and skinny,
and silent despite her pinches
on my side
i am not misbehaving
in this photograph
except the youngest brother
who compromised
with a pose
two minutes and then ran away
not wanting to be

It Is As If They Wish To Mark and Brand

Once it is decided,
A lie will be told...
To enhance the 'standing'
In someone else's eyes,
By those who do this.
It often leads to bleak circumstances!
Especially when it is discovered,
Those lied to and lied on...
Have known about it.
The moment it was done!

Liars often use the same pattern.
And leave familiar tracks.
It is as if they wish to mark and brand,
With a certain pride...
Their own deceptions.
Unbelieving the power of truth and facts.

Like a child who will not admit,
It is their hands seen in the cookie jar!

Mama Would You

For Mother's Day

Mama would you
Hold your baby tight
Tell me a bedtime story
To make the bad dreams go away
Mama would you
Always and forever
Be mine
On mother's day

Mama would you
Play a game with me
Chutes and ladders or candyland
Don't matter to me
As long as we're together
Mama would you
Grant me this wish
Be all mine on mother's day

The Moon And All Its Beauty

-The Moon
Smiling majestically in the twilight sky
enriching the beauty of the night
with it's sweet angelic face
which is the chocolate chip

in every warm chocolate chip cookie
whose beauty warms my heart and soul
for life is beautiful when I'm under your
spell of happiness for you enrich the beauty
of the night in all your charm and beauty

for my heart is warmed and touched by
every breath and smile I take when adoring
your sweet angelic face sailing majestically
in the nightly sky enriching life with gold
of happiness and peace on Earth

in knowing there is beauty in life
whenever I see your sweet, angelic face

0029 It's Haircut Day

Oh dear it’s haircut day

I guess I should be grateful –
she comes round to the house
and cuts what’s left up there for
almost next to nothing, these days

she’s a bright cookie but
no conversationalist
so I attempt to make pleasant small talk
for both our benefits I like to think

but if I say something she disagrees with
like who sells the best fish around here
or immigration
she corrects me with such withering scorn
that I feel I should apply for
institutionalisation. Or cremation.

my masculine side says stuff her,

I wish I was a Donut

I wish I was a donut,
And got eaten everyday.
I could stick on someone’s fingers,
Squishy testy like cookie dough,
In a most delightful way,
So they wouldn’t mind.

I wish I was a donut,
Sugar coated just for fun,
To slide into your mouth, down your throat, and into your tummy.
I’m so tasty everyone would like me.
Pass me around or share me with your pale.

I wish I was a donut,
Filled with yummy cream,
I am sure you’ll enjoy me,
All you’ll hear is the sound of sucking me down,
Licking your lips and wanting more of me.
I’d be in the spot light,

Give Us The Cookies

It had been perfectly okay,
For them to do and say...
Exactly as they pleased.
Not just for years.
But for centuries.

A respect was given.
And this had increased.
But a dishonesty became their beast.
This began to feed a greed.
This greed did not cease.

An addiction of it was from them released.
The beast began to roar.
Making demands within its den.
Not only did it begin to offend.
Unwisely it began to destroy...
The goodwill felt,
Amongst its own fellowmen.

What Is this All About

Scathing?
That may be.
But none of it attempts to erase,
Or shy away from reality.

Bitter?
Well...
No one should consider truth that way.
But it isn't embraced.
In fact,
It is hated by those nurtured on delusion.

Purpose?
To implement it.
A deceit free society.
Even if minds have been fantasized.

Expected outcome?
Civil unrest with protest unaccepting...
An honesty folks have never received.

Another Day

The sun is finally shining, warming my skin,
The horses are poking their heads out of the barn,
The snow has lifted, revealing green grass,
The ground still frozen, ice still on the pond,
Playing with the early morning mountain due, in between my fingers,
Off the leaf of a rose bush.

I pluck a flower out of the cold ground,
The sweet innocents of the little pink thing makes me smile,
Twirling in my fingers ever so gently,
Smelling its aroma,
Such magnificence in a small thing,
The peddles softly brushing against my checks

Sitting on this hard wooden bench,
All bundled up, braving the cold,
Admiring my flower, seeing puppies play, and
The sun that I haven’t seen in weeks, say hello.
Awe how nature can silently sing.
All to the tune of the kitchen mixer’s bellow,

Childless With Child

You, doe eyed, those lashes
Hand grabbing them up
Like a miner's gold dust
Scratched up little red car
And plastic soldier man, no arm
Maybe yesterday's casualty of war
Them all jumbled up clutched,
In your stubby sweaty little hand,
And in the other,
with a tiny might, clenching
Oreo, with trail of cookie crumblings

You, untainted child, invest well
A shiny squirming dime spent
For infinite imagination
And then it always grips me,
like a twice licked stamp-stuck
The curiousity of it, if I'd a you
Meanwhile my time
your gobbled candy
