Swamiji had arrived
At the India’s tail end,
Cape Comorin by name,
Kanyakumari, by other name
In the sea shore temple there,
He prayed to Divine Mother.
From the shore he had a look,
And saw, at a distance, a big rock.
In the shark infested waters,
He courageously swam across,
And sat on the rock in meditation,

India’s Jewel
India’s jewel of welcome the Taj Mahal
Drapes its curtains of love in the palace of dreams
Histories monument pleasured afore my eyes
Many seasons have changed my India since I last saw you
Everything is wonderfully the same
As I alight the packed train, the British made toot toot and
The rattle of the wheels moving on brings memories
Of always leaving somewhere...I arrive
The hustle and bustle of Calcutta stands before me
Majestic in its multitude of humanity
Wonderfully weaving the threads of teeming life
Where its wealth lies within the poor who are
Carving out a life of happiness with a smile
They are the real jewel of India
They beat out sorrow
Like the washer woman beating out the dirt of their lives
God I have learnt some wisdom here
The rise of living standards is creeping across the land
The middle class is booming the poor will slowly rise.

Thou' Cricket is not religion;
Sachin is our god,
Thou' British are Founder,
Sachin is invader.
We owned India,
British conquered it;
British owned Criket,
Sachin conqered it.
Talent sticks to that precious diomond,
Just like magnet sticks to iron.
Talent and efforts in practice matches,
Made king of international cricket.
Neither difficulties nor attraction,
Each fails in bending Tendulkar,
Whether it is fast-track of South Africa

To Foreign Land
Many birds migrate to foreign land
Groom there happily and remain as friend
It is their new home and breeding ground
Away from treacherous weather it is now newly found
Thousands of kilometers away they have flown
The distant land is not their homeland or known
Yet they know it is their new habitat with no fear
No worry about interference when they flock and rear
What have they brought along with them for alien land?
A message of peace with far reaching impact or trend
If birds can find alternative route then why not we

A Mumbai City
Mumbai has an excellent beauty and glory of its own,
It is an enchanting and colourful material world,
In the whole world it is very popular and well known,
It is the main business and film centre of the world.
Mumba Devi blessed to Mumbai and Haji Ali graced it,
All states men of India live in this holy place of Goddess,
For all citizens to dwell in this city is flawless and fit,
Hither the rich and the poor all live together equally.
Rush rush people belong to different careers of life,
They run from morn to eve for their daily living,
On the busy journey of life they find peace but no strife,
Sweet golden words of Marathi make them to live happily.
Maharashtra state is lucky to have the fantastic Mumbai city,
Daily visitors come to see historical places and its majesty,
Rays of the sun nicely reflect this city from the sea in reality,
It is surrounded by ocean full of sailing ships and boats.

He is down to earth man
Best Gujarati politician ever known
Carries mission for people and own
All the drawbacks even if remained unknown
Right from the days of independence struggle
Gujarat has provided leadership without any trouble
Gandhi (ji) * by his virtue became father of the nation
*Sardar vallabhbhai Patel proved statesman and iron man
India failed to excel in international field thereafter

As Godse and Apte hooded, swung to the tune of the newly dead
Echo’s lingered on the Ambala walls of the gallows shed,
The pair’s verses sung, still lingered as if to defy reality
‘Akhand Bharat Amar Rah’, [‘India united, may it be forever, ’ ]
Godse’s hand that did the deadly deed grasped and twitched,
As a spirit hand ripped out the soul of a body bewitched.
Now ended the people’ choice, their Mahatma grand
His name, his work for ever will with the test of time stand,
The gang of eight cowards their plot conceived connived,
Their hate of appeasement simmered nights of the long knives,
The British lead religious division of India was the flaw,
That loaded the assassins’ gun three bullets to close life’s door,
On life for Gandhi, with hands in greeting cried ‘HE RAM’ [Oh God],
The plight of fellow man his cause, no more the path that he hath trod,
Their ears never attuned to their victim’s forgiving love rule ways
Whose bloodless coup enriched forever India’s days.

Dear Annaji, End Your Fast Fast
So far so good, you’ve led the movement well!
’Tis time, you thought about your precious life;
A rigid attitude can’t hasten things;
Allow some natural time to get things done.
Getting tougher when people soften stands
Could complicate the problem you fight for;
Please end your fast before your health worsens;
All want a good man like you to live long!
Corruption has been happening for years;
The problem can’t be stalled by just one bill;
‘You’ve risked your life enough’; so, end your fast;
Your fasting more can’t speed up things from now.
Respect the Parliament and those in it;
They’ve promised you that they will do their best;
Good that you fought for such a noble cause;
