Sonnet-Man, Learn From The Birds
When Hope eternal springs in Avian hearts,
That long all day for water, food and shade,
On Summer's noon, with parched throats, body-parts,
Why shouldn't a man's despair similarly fade?
So steadily they chirp from tree to tree;
With hungry mouths and eyes frantic for food;
And Lo, some flowers greet them nectarily,
They beak their drink and speed in jocund mood.
Yet, men alone so wearily remain;
Just panting, cursing sultry, hot weather;
The cloudless sky offers no hope of Rain;
How worse off must it be for the Beggar?
Tho' they die, do Birds, commit suicide?

On Watching A Dead Butterfly
Who put the silver on its wings
In whimsied spots like metal dust
surrounding velvet and brown rust
Was it the wind that stirred its death
And fluttered them on summer's floor
Or ebbing life to fly no more
Our love was birds and butterflies
Flying to dance in summer's glow
As flames of passion's wind did blow
I held on tightly as we watched

Arguing
I cry myself to sleep
safely atop my bed
when something terrible
is happening outside.

Sonnet: A Bard’s Constitution
My hands tremble when sinful thoughts appear;
My body’s bathed in sweat when act’s over;
What guilt, remorse fills my heart, Oh dear!
My soul is in penitential fever.
My heart is grief-stricken when things go wrong,
And anger fills my mind when world’s at fault;
I feel like cursing men/ women for long;
If given chance, how well they somersault!
A sensitized heart/ mind are found in bards;
The world in which they live, has gone crazy;
Their emotions keep jumping like leopards;
Their life is most often misty/ hazy.
Whatever feels their heart, must become words,
To drive into the heads of human herds!

Gliding out of my boot you came

Her Extinction
One eye awoke to a new sight
A reflection of reality
There before me, stood a girl drained
An identity fading into nothing
Those facial colours began to run
They ran scared, frightened of tomorrow
Then it blends mixing into a tiresome grey
Dilated pupils lay motionless cursing
Like fingers pointing the blame
Once those cheeks had bloomed
Bloomed such an intensive pink
A pink that no photo could edit
Unique beauty once lied
A lock of hair once shone
