Quotes about token, page 10

End Scene Of A Movie

The credits rolled
A register of names
Now consigned to memory
The final moments
Passed into history
All in the end scene of a movie
Leaving me wondering
Have I been moved at all
What token of thought
Or feeling have I touched
Have I learnt anything
Or will I care to remember
Its over, its been done
Now the credits roll
Names to a soundtrack
Playing out

Another Cinderella Story

Stuck in the highest tower
Guarded by a mighty power

Never leaving this prison
caged by a fiery crimson

Theres only one way in
And only one way to begin

Many have tried, many have failed

Only the pure of heart
May enter and depart

Only by excepting my token dear
May you take me away from here

Then we can live happy together
An epic love that lasts forever

Roses (Novelinee)

They bloom with plenty pretty bright flowers
as if blessed as queen from God above,
are found in gardens, secluded bowers,
are the ultimate token of true love
and where they grow they are really adorning,
kiss the air with fragrance, wantonly play,
brings some sweetness to the early morning,
blushes red in the creator's early ray,
brings a kind of joy to the summer day.

To Arthur Pendragon

Now many centuries after his death
I know that there had never been a king
that on this earth did breath
who by his valour and nobility had my heart rising

as Arthur of Camelot, Arthur of the round table did
and although his sword Excalibur forever stays hid
through centuries his tales remains as the token of chivalry
and somehow there is truth and a kind of magic to it.

The Australian Flag

PURE blue Flag of heaven
With your silver stars,
Not beside those Crosses'
Blood-stained torture-bars:
Not beside the token
The foul sea-harlot gave,
Pure blue Flag of heaven,
Must you ever wave!
No, but young exultant,
Free from care and crime,
The soulless selfish England
Of this later time:
No, but, faithful, noble
Rising from her grave,
Flag of light and liberty,
For ever must you wave!

Elegy for love

Here rests on the bark
of this tree
scratched to remain,
two hearts interlinked
and filled with words in a token
of what once was love
and of oaths
made to each other.

Death did not kill it,
but relationships with others
and wild passion did.

Experiencing a string of other beautiful lovers,
with different bodies, sent, skin,
breasts, muscles and personalities were the in thing.

Warmth is still there

Nita, as informed of my visit,
You never failed to turn up
To the place where you were at work
And we met whole heartedly.
You presented yourself with
The ear studs I presented to you
A decade back as a token of love.
You have preserved them so long
And were particular to flaunt them
At the time of seeing me!
Enough, the warmth is still there.
Enough, it will warm my cold.

Crowned

You came to me bearing bright roses,
Red like the wine of your heart;
You twisted them into a garland
To set me aside from the mart.
Red roses to crown me your lover,
And I walked aureoled and apart.

Enslaved and encircled, I bore it,
Proud token of my gift to you.
The petals waned paler, and shriveled,
the thorns started through.
er thorns to proclaim me your lover,
A diadem woven with rue.

I Think That...(thoughts on words and promises)

Words… are so easy to say
Promises, ne’er so hard to keep

Words… easily written
Promises, not to be shallow or deep

Words…so effortlessly uttered
Promises, should never be broken

Words…so unthinkingly muttered
Promises, not given only in token

Words…so empty… so easy to say
Promises… never just idle notions

Words should be true in every way…and
Promises be pledges of devotions

Lover, Come Now...

lover, come now...
before the hands strike,
before the door finally closes,
and the latch is locked.

come now...
as sunlight breaks the window,
the hungry child seeks a nipple,
and shadows create forms.

come now...
the guns are silenced,
bodies left like token prayers.
even the trees bent with longing.

lover, come now...
the bridge rattles and creaks,
the waters suddenly calm,
and the ravens have flown!
